Oh yeah, without a shadow of doubt.

Even more so as I had £150 riding on England winning!

"There's many many more amongst the general public who are bigger t**ts than footballers but we're not jealous of their job/earnings so it's alright!"

Not sure about that.....of the top ten twots I'm aware of, I reckon at least seven are footballers. If there is any doubt in my mind, I just refer myself to this picture:

Rooney. Shouldn't have even been sent off. He only had a little nibble. If that's three games and "assault" then what did the Dutch do in the even final?

The three games is blatant retribution for exposing the corruption in fifa.

You need to get out more often then!

So I can meet more twots? Not likely!

Fair point.......stay at home & disconnect any channels showing any kind of reality TV show!

Personally if the Goal Machine carries on banging them in Mr Pearce would be daft not to come take a look.... yes were in League One but he's a goal machine lol !

As for Rooney, he is an idiot. However, he is our best player by a mile and the reason he is so poor for England is that the others are not up to his standard !

John Terry as captain ??!! please ! Him Ferdinand and Lampard should be tossed aside !

I wouldnt take him. I find it highly unfair that if the team get through the group stages to the last 16 without him that one of the strikers in that team should be dropped to allow that stupid toss piece to return to the side.

Yes, hes quality and yes hes probably our best player but theres an entire team to think of, not just him

That's just bollards to be honest, you take the squad most capable of winning you the competition & that's that.

Do you think Spain would drop Xavi or Iniesta, Argentina leave Messi at home, Portugal tell Ronaldo not to bother turning up etc etc in the same situation!

Of course, there's a team to think of but I'm sure if you asked the rest of the squad if they wanted Rooney there or not it'd be 100% in favour because they know they have a better chance with him there!

Couldn't give a flying monkey faeces either way.
They wont win it with him, they wont win it without him.
If they had a manager with a command of english that went beyond a GCSE taster class, they'd stand a much better chance

Yes, that's the problem!

Cant help but feel there’s a certain FIFA backlash towards English football in their decision to give a 3 game ban. I think most of us have seen much worse challenges escape with pittance punishments in the last season alone. Injustice or not I’d take him as match-winners at international level are few and far between. That said if England qualify impressively and comfortably without him, as soon as his ban elapsed he’d only serve as a super-sub to me. On the Madine front, hell yeah get the boy in, he makes Andy Carroll look like Mark Stein!

Good point, ding dong! If someone has performed really well to fire us through the group stages then there's nothing saying Rooney has to come straight back in & it's not a bad sub to have!

BTW, on the ban front. Arshavin, I think, only got a 2 game ban for basically punching someone!

Eh? The manager has a better grasp of English than most of the team! They need to keep their discipline and do as they're bloody told! Learning to pass a football would also help.

Steve Mclaren spoke english and was fluent in dutch (wasnt he?) and still failed.

But I suppose on the flip side he was like proper rubbish like

Seriously Izzy. SERIOUSLY? have you heard the bloke do an interview?

Just a quick question about the beam back. Bought tickets for it a few weeks back. Am I right in thinking as a season ticket holder the “ticket” I purchased is electronically just added to my season ticket, therefore just use my card to get in as normal? Daft question maybe but just sat at work and had a panic I’d not received anything in the post lol! cheers

(Monster this is one of those moments i'd actually appreciate your 'i know everything Wednesday me' smugness paying off - please feel free to rub my nose in it )
