Looks like a strong team. Two spinners (including Patel) should be enough and batting down to seven.
I'm very excited about this new look England side!
Looking forward to seeing JB entertain the crowd.
As iIve filtered both Neon and cricketfan out of my life, there's a good chance we can discuss today's events without a great deal of wumming.
Today is a big test for our boys and a good start to the series is important.
I'm interested to see what happens at the toss, normally we seem to prefer to chase a target than set one.

Im still around tho, very keen to see how the indians bowl....
Only joking hopefor, I'll play with a straight bat on this thread...
I see cricinfo first comment is that the India team is depleted so the excuses are coming already.
India bat first
Indian goverment wont allow broadcaster to broadcast!!!!
I think England will be happy to chase anyway.
"Indian goverment wont allow broadcaster to broadcast"!!!!
Is that a joke or is it true ? I cant see much happening. O_o
u2074,
Im watching skysports, no pictures. saying there is some disagreement with the broadcaster and the indian goverement and hoepfully it will be resolved soon. They havent broadcasted any pictures so far.
I see England have gone with a predictable line up. I'm looking forward to see how our quicks get on today.
What a joke, i cant watch it on my sky-go

I wondered why the ground was empty on that screen at the back of the studio...
I believe Bell was always seen as a reserve batsman so his omission is no surprise.
Indeed Kash, I normally watch it at work on my phone.....
It was Bell or KP and KP won.
This blackout is ridiculous.
I pay to watch these games, and I can't get my money's worth because someone's palm wasn't greased....
I'm able to stream it on http://www.cricpass.net/
Im assuming sky are reliant on the indian broadcaster, so have no say in the issue.....
whats the quality like on that kash?
Sadly, while I can get away with having my phone discretely positioned on my desk, a full screen live feed may be pushing the boundaries of what I can get away with here.....
Not good. I cant get rid of this big white box in the middle of the screen.
Kash, my security system warned me against using that site you gave.
still no pictures.....
Radio commentary on sky sports.....
Pathetic!!!
