As a Spurs supporter, and in general, this is quite an interesting season for me. Citeh have pretty much entered the final phase of project Sugga Daddy, and for Spurs to do PL top 4 again, this team they will have to oust one of the bigger "Sky 4" who have had yrs of CL trough money.
The NFL draft system might be interesting if it could spread the youth talent out among the PL clubs for a couple of seasons. it wouldn't affect the final outcome (the better players still go to the big clubs) , but at least those clubs have them for a while.

Yeah that's why there are salary caps, and you're able to franchise a key member of your team so that it would cost extra for other teams to try an sign them. The draft would be too complicated to work in football, I think, but salary and transfer caps should be enacted throughout Europe if possible .
In fairness, the PL is much fairer compared to the Spanish League, where I believe all the teams except the top two have met to discuss what to do about all the TV money Barca and Madrid receive
Is it true that Germany basically did a "year zero" after Euro 2000 (grass roots, Bundesliga, national side etc) to ensure that at all levels of the game, there would be a strong/competitive aspect ??
Would be nice to do this in England, but the PL is all about the snouts in the trough. And the FA are well .. the FA.
i suggested something like this on 606 about 2 years ago and god roundly booed.
