Was it me or did Tsonga get the bigger chear than Murray when he came on court? As Murray just lost the first set the crowd will want Murray to win the second set so they can see a third set, then it will be interesting who they support.

Dunno

I switched on at 4-2 down

Murray played some awesome shots - but lost the set...

Can only half watch while discreetly flicking between windows on my work computer but it's looking like a very interesting game. Both players seem fairly evenly matched. Could this come right down to the wire?

Well lose-able from here

Ah, is it time for Wimby again...?

Will enjoy the next few weeks of hype and inevitable disappointment :D

Harsh but accurate

Murray has beaten Tsonga 5 times out of 6 on head to head

He might get strong late doors here

As predicted - gone ahead first time in the match

This result proves that he will win wimbledon

Good win Murray

Stat - only two players have won both Queens & Wimbledon - last
one...Sampras in 1999

Hes actually playing really well just now.

To be honest if he continues to peak around the time of the grand slams then I'm happy.

fingers crossed he keeps the form up for the next 3, 4 weeks

I predict the semis for young Andrew

posted on 13/6/11

I think he might make the final this year with a mammouth effort in the semi's. I can see him being total done in though if he gets through a nadal semi ( or whoever it may be)

Your stat. is incorrect as 1982 Conners, 1984 MnEnroe, 1985 Becker, 1999 Sampras, that makes at least 4 in the same year, perhaps there are more I don't know, .

Well done Andy Murray. Hopefully he can play well and go far at Wimbledon. Would be great if he could win it but I can't see him getting further than the semi-finals, if he gets that far - Nadal, Djokovic and Federer are just too good.

i think it's unfair to continually drag the slam issue into conversations when discussing andy murray. he's reached 3 finals and let's face it he was born into the strongest ever era of tennis with possibly the 3 best players of all time ranked above him. he still has around 6-7 yrs at the top and he WILL win a slam and in all probability 3 or 4

Three best players of all time...
I'm sure Pete Sampras Connors McEnroe Laver Lendl & others won't take offence

posted on 13/6/11

just my opinion but i think they would in most likelihood wipe the floor with all of those as would andy also imo

Difficult to say really though

Footballing sides of yesteryear have been compared with the current crop

Lets say Brazil of 1970 & Spain of today....who knows
