Go-Bates-Go
I was born in Halton and my dad worked at Elland Road inside LUFC itself.
I now get to a few games, home and away each season, but I don't go to as many as some as I have a job that thankfully has taken me far and wide but I call myself a fan also.
I too have been a fan since the mid sixties and would say that between 1968/9 and 1977 I probably missed about 20 games at home.
After that time having moved south with my calling I have attended many home games a season, both home and away and win lose or draw I was just happy to see my club.
I enjoy reading the opinions of fans who have been able to get to games. However I feel it is appropriate to challenge the drearies
I think there are some that post on here that revel in attacking the management whenever we lose and on occasions when we win or draw because a certain player or player does not get a game. Thankfully the latter don't pick our team.
In re the Bates and Grayson model not many will come out openly and agree with what they have achieved together now we're looking decent as a team, because they have firmly nailed their feelings to the mast and cannot now be seen to acknowledge it openly for fear of being shown up as fickle.
That is sad.
Still eh?
