in case you missed it, he's been in the papers/on the news a fair bit too.

can't imagine why.....

liverpoolred -

Who's more likely to be right - the 700,000 people who've written articles and the millions that have commented on them - or you - the over-sensitive Liverpool fan?

posted on 17/10/11

im not over sensitive ..

just bored silly by your lot ..arsenal and chelsea fans writing garbage about our club ....and about suarez....
all ive seen is stuff about him being a cheating diver.....but nothing about the fact that he is a superb player ...

same thing about gareth bale but reversed ...all say he is a great player (which he is ) nothing about the fact that he one of the sneakiest divers in the permiership....

the fact that you lot take time out to write b.s on our board is just laughable .....

and yet this is on the arsenal board.........................

it's not about him being a diver.... it's about him having a list of just about every type of cheating/petulance possible to his name.

from diving, to spitting, to hair pulling etc etc....

but about a LIVERPOOL player......you write garbage about a liverpool player , expect scousers to comment.......

and i dont create articles on your board insulting your boys

To be fair liverpoolred this has been moved around nearly all of the most popular boards, I only commented because it popped up on the Spurs board yesterday.

To compare Suarez with Bale is disingenuous to say the least - almost all professional footballers dive to some extent. Also, for you to describe events that have actually happened, with evidence to back it up as "GARBAGE" shows you are being a bit sensitive

when a player is a major player in a major story of the weekend, he is likely to be discussed on a discussion site

and i dont create articles on your board insulting your boys

go right ahead, just make sure you provide evidence of any claims you make, as the OP here did.

posted on 17/10/11

no this is going on a few now zaph...
all other events here on ja606 from the other games are largely over shadowed by
1)result of the liverpool game
2)suarez diving
3)a desputed free kick that may or may have been given
4)that even when we win ..we are still useless

im not sensitive ..just bored of what im reading.....
just run over the rest of the boards....we are pretty much everywhere....

bale left foot.....ill agree with what you said.....but bale is still sneaky at winning frees..

posted on 17/10/11

sorry, but this weekend, suarez is the biggest story.... whether evra's claims turn out to be true or not is another story, hence (i think) why the OP didn't give it much coverage in this article.

posted on 17/10/11

Zaphod - I would say it's also the reason it was moved around - so the subject could be debated with the facts to back it up

Ok liverpoolred, he can do down easily sometimes.. he never bit anyone though

Suarez, for all his gifts should be deemed the "unacceptable face of football".
Kudos to OP for such a well-thought, carefully researched article.

Just because proving it is difficult, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Suarez is a well-known rapscallion and a recidivist and quite frankly, it is not a stretch!

The Adventures Of etc (U2725): ..."Evra's boy crying wolf history"

Aggers Right Elbow (U3402): "Evra has made these accusations before"

MafiaBoy etc (U8613): "Evra is no saint... he accused Chelsea's groundsman Bethell of racism in the past. "

NO HE DIDN'T!!
Are you people being wilfully stupid or are you really as ignorant as you appear? Why should anyone take the slightest notice of your ramblings when you continue to make the same untrue assertions over and over again?

Evra has NEVER made any such complaints in the PL; On one occasion he complained of abuse by African fans for turning out for France - which was true.

If you can't even get such basic information right, you have no business pontificating on grown-up issues.

"Oscandwarf. How can you not care?"

Holding the view that he doesn't care about racism makes him just another racist in my book. But just that like most racists, he won't come out in the open and stand by his beliefs.

Evra has history of many false accusations.

I'm neither actually. I didn't know that that was the case, I thought it was him moaning about it himself. If that is not the case then I apologise. Keep your panties on

So when all this is investigated by the FA, even as a United fan I dont think there will be any action taken against Suarez, as there is no proof as yet to suggest he made the remarks, so will the FA charge Evra?
And if the FA totally bottle it and don't charge either of them we are going to be back at aquare one on here, with Evra is a lying Basturd and Suarez is a racist, lying Basturd that got away with it.
For me now if Evra is going to carry on with his claims, there needs to be an outcome to stop this from happening again.

What can I say - I don't recall naming you, so... if the cap fits, wear it - if not, don't.
The comment immediately after my posting ("Evra has history of many false accusations" shows that some people still consider this kind of thing a joke.

Of course the idea that Evra could be charged if the claim is unproven is not only farcical and unworkable, but would most certainly be illegal.
Why should Evra - or anyone - be charged simply for not being able to prove their case? If Suarez cannot prove his innocence (which he can't; you can't prove a negative) should he be punished? Of course not - nor should we charge every police officer who arrests someone which does not result in a conviction for false arrest, or haul every rape victim to court to face charges if they cannot prove their case.
Liverpool FC have tarnished themselves by asking for such a ridiculous stance; they have already done so to some degree by failing to initiate any kind of investigation into the allegation.

Something of interst to me, and which has not yet been brought up[, is the role of TV. Sky have been very quiet on the issue, but it would be quite possible with today's technology to have sufficient coverage with audio and video to monitor things said on the pitch.
However, the fact that even possessing such technology, we never get to hear any conversation between players or officials on the field of play suggests to me that it is a deliberate policy NOT to have such coverage.
The outcry at the language used by Tony Adams and others when one match was wired for sound years ago ensured that clubs have no desire to have their players monitored, and I have no doubts that they will maintain that stance.

Sky want to keep in with clubs and players, so they will not volunteer to provide damning evidence which will upset any of the clubs; it would take an FA or PL request to do so, and what are the chances of that?
