It's just been confirmed on Central News.
Its on Sky, Villa want to talk to him.
Im so not sorry to see him go and the fact he is going/talking to villa shows exactly what he thinks about Birmingham City and the fans.
The bloke is a joke in many many ways.
Good ridance!
Pls get Houghton, Davies or maybe even Slavan Billic !
KRO as always !!
I wont miss McLeish ,his football anyway. Vile are welcome to him I`m more concerned about who we get. Have a feeling both Vile fans and us will be dissapointed with our new manager. Hope I`m wrong...like the sound of Billic hadn`t thought of him good shout
Can't see McLeish going to Villa, I think he's better than that. If MON couldn't make a go of it there, I can't see Big Eck doing any better.
It's all down to money nowadays no matter how good the manager is.
Cant figure out who is the bigger clown,,, McLeish or Lerner
I know we're in the mire, but that would be really funny -
McLeish goes to the Villa and Wolves sign Jerome!!
Villa should be forced to have Jerome as part of Pannu's compensation package.
'Operation Destroy Villa' is in full swing.
This situation appears to be becoming very awkward. Birmingham wants compensation and rightly so, contracts still mean something don't they?
However, if no team out there wants to pay for McLeish, is it even practical for him to manage City next season? It would seem that the relationship between him and top management has been damaged beyond repair.
I'm grateful for what McLeish did for us, the positives obviously. But I'm actually looking forward to a fresh start without him, his tactics were nothing short of dire, his approach to the way football should be played is ridiculous, and he always had a hatred for players who were too attacking minded e.g Zarate,Hleb.
I really hope we get Chris Hughton, a very good manager with proven experience in this league. If not, Alan Curbishly wouldn't be too bad... or even Zola
