England would bat well on flat tracks. most teams would.Look at newzealand last time they toured India.. amassed 600 and 500 in two test matches.. It was only the facts the final test the wicket was left to dry..

Odi's arent that important. because on any given day it just takes 2 or 3 players to preform and you win the game.. In 20/20 all it takes in one batsman to get a quick fire 70 and that person teams wins.. In test cricket it takes 8/9 players to win a game. 4 front line bowlers bowing you 90/100 overs in the first innings of a match and your batsmen to score 100s to leads..

before we discuss what will happen to india in australia, think about what will happen to england against pakistan. They are known to suprise teams and we all know on flat tracks your bowlers are poor. and not to forget how bad your batsman are against good spin bowling. You lose 1-0 or 2-0 then there goes you no 1 rank and all this boasting you guys have been doing. i remember this summer how you guys were always making comparisons against our players in every single match. Not a single article i have seen in the last week has had any sort of comparisons. Ahh maybe the figures of your bowlers are so bad that comparison is out of the equation and not to forget how bad the fielding is. Australia were good in every format when they were no.1 and so were india when they were no. 1. England are clearly good only in tests and time will tell whether they are even worth being called a good side

know it all.... Its like me saying im a mathematician that can solve the hardest problem on earth but cant do 1+1. If batting in the sub continent is so easy as it is flat track why do england players struggle to score runs. Its not even spinners, they struggled against vinay kumar who is not even the best indian pace bowler? The answer to this is batting is not just being able to bat on a green top, its also being able to bat on tracks that help spinners and not pacers. also india have only struggled the first time in england, otherwise they have had a pretty good time in the past 20years.

The past 20 years? in that time they have been 3 test match series and India have had a goot batting line up. Ontop of that 3 test match series in England are usually ruined by the weather..Aswell as the facts in the 90s England were a pretty poor team..
To answer your question to why England cant bat in the subcontinent. England have never been the best at attacking shot play in one day international cricket..When they are forced to get on with it.. On slower tracks England find it difficult to hit the boundries. At test level it will be differant as England have all the time in the world to amass runs..
