Luton and Watford is bigger than Spurs and Arsenal.
When you look at the trophies, particularly European trophies, that Barca RM United and Liverpool have won, it's quite simply laughable you mention the North London derby in the same breath
37 8 mean anything to you?
JWilshere
The term derby is thrown around in this country and signifies the big games, and the biggest derby in this country is Arsenal-Tottenham. FACT!
---------------------------------------------------
What planet are you on, saying "derby signifies the big games" so are you saying when Man Utd play Chelsea its now a derby game.
red666 clown, you don't know football do you.
Of course thats a big game but I didn't say ONLY DERBIES ARE BIG GAMES.
Even when Newcastle-Sunderland play people claim it's a big game. But I didn't for once say ONLY DERBIES ARE BIG GAMES.

As I said, difference is, Manchester United-Liverpool isn't in the same class entertainment wise, views and ferocity of the game as El Classico and North London derby.

Newcastle-Sunderland is a derby.

Which game attracted the most worldwide viewers, Lfc-utd or spurs-afc?

Your words not mine, Man Utd vs Chelsea is a BIG GAME but it aint no DERBY so how can derby signify a big game.
Newcastle vs Sunderland is a derby

it is. They are the two clubs in closest proximity. Both are from one club towns.
Coco.
I can see the point in this article.
El Classico is undoubtedly massive in Spain because, due to the standard of other teams in the league, it's percieved to have a huge barring on deciding the eventual champions.
Arsenal-Tottenham is massive for both clubs because it's the next best thing to silverware.

I pointed that comment at JWilshere mate not you
I'm sorry but anyone outside of London couldnt care less about the London derby between Spurs and Arsenal.
If you think that is as big as a match between the two largest and most successful clubs this country has ever seen then you need to take a look at what you say about Ferguson and apply it to yourself
Suddenly the Man U fans are accepting Liverpool as a big club, strange that? Going by most posts Liverpool aren't even rivals anymore!
It suits when it wants to!

They're not title rivals at the minute, but will always be rivals. Pretty sure even Liverpool fans would agree

i think it's more a case of having had one done to him, if you look at his profile.
Liverpool haven't been rivals to United for a couple of decades now. However we United fans are a Knowledgeable lot and it would be petty not to give Liverpool their dues.... that they are STILL the second biggest Football Club in England.
Itsalongwayback (U2088)
Hows your rivalry with Barnesly going?
Biggest game in the world can only be judged on global viewing figures because as we all know only so many people can actually attend the game.
Liverpool v United was broadcast to 211 seperate countries, the next popular in the list outside of the EPL is AC Milan v Inter which is broadcast to 52 seperate countries.
Seems to me SAF has a made a fair point, no matter how much Gary Lineker and his cronies tried to mock him on the MOTD.

Its just those based in London trying to big up their local London clubs and their moderate level of success size and fame.
