Mr. Chelsea, our keyboard warrior friend from the United board is up to his old tricks again
I'll be honest, and maybe its partly because my team arent in it anymore (Liverpool yes, cue witty and original jokes) but I'm a bit bored by the whole affair.
The competition is not competitive until the quarter finals, maybe the knockout stages at best and there are only a few teams that you look at with a realistic chance of winning it.
What happened to the numbers of other competitors. You used to look at the knockout phase and you could probably pick one or two teams that you thought wouldnt have a chance. Now its vice versa and you look through and see one or two sides that can win.
Some of the great sides that could at least give the higher tier sides a good game and even beat them in the knockout.
The group phase it just a moneyspinning walkover for the number one seeds.
Its become too uncompetitive, and predictable and therefore boring.

I agree to some extent.
I play 5 aside on a Wednesday night and if we are playing a CL match in the group stages I dont mind not seeing the game so I can play.
Once we get into the knockout stages then I will obviously miss the 5 aside for a week, but before that it isnt really that exciting.
I think that it is time to get back to the old format where only the champions (or possibly top 2 teams) qualify. Also bring back the Cup Winners Cup and then we would again have 3 European trophies that were worth winning.
