Goodwillie....

Well as amusing as I find that (must be gallows humour, or that Friday feeling), I suppose there are a few defences for him. He's only started 3 of those matches and 2 were at right-wing (I think) which seems to be a position he's rubbish in. Fulham is the only game I can recall him starting up front, thought he was decent first half but seemed to lack fitness for the second.

He's a risk, as are many of Kean's signings this summer, because he's come from a level far below the standard of the PL. Therefore its hard to really know how good he actually is, only £2.8m for a striker would suggest not that good. Gotta be given time but pretty much our 3rd choice striker at the moment.

i doubt he will score a goal in the premier league this season

he was never one of the best players in scotland so found it strange when blackburn bid as much as they did

never worth 3 million pounds

i suppose he's alright as a back up striker for Blackburn though

Even if he was any good Kean will turn him into a crap player anyway because when ever any of our boys look like they are hitting a bit of form Kean chucks them on the bench like Formica.

You ain't telling me any news. I cannot see Goodwillie cutting it at this level either and doubt he will make a lasting contribution to the club.

I am of the opinion we have bought very badly. Few agree. Time will tell.

OOJW,i agree with you completly,we have bought badly yet i do think we will stay up,i do think Kean will stay as manager for this season at least,,he has the ears of the Venkys and that is all he needs, they have no idea and will be led by him,,as Ventash Roa has said,,we will be ok when our new fast bowler arrives..lol

. Forget the new fast bowler he is useless. The new leg spinner will get us all buzzing though! Has an amazing googly and quicker ball.

Of course. We are only chatting on here and it only an opinion. But we are not good enough to regularly put it on a sixpence and at this level strikers need to be able to make things happen themselves. Like Matty Jansen for example.

It is not his fault, we bought cheaply and that only buys potential. He is young and can only improve, but time is short and we need some good performances starting tomorrow.

If he starts playing in the right position and has decent support, he'll score. It's as simple as that.

If we play the right players and the right formation with a better manager Goodwillie will score and so will Yakuba Kean is the problem not any of the strikers.(not including Roberts )
