Very happy we got McInnes
I'm down here too........................I'm a true red though!
You haven't played a game yet have you????
his first game in charge is Sunday at home to Birmingham
Good luck City are a local away fixture for me!
Very Happy. Martin O'Neill was the first choice of most Forest fans, but that was always a dream. The fans who came on this board were more inclined to say who they didn't want rather than who they did want.
SC has a better than decent record although he never seems to stay anywhere very long. All the 'pies fans I've spoke too were full of praise. He seems very positive and upbeat which is a change from most of our previous managers (Smegson, Calderwood, Kinnear) and doesn't dwell on adversity. But it is early days yet.
Good luck Brizzle for the rest of the season, hope you follow us up the table.
I'm happier than the guy who shot Gaddaffi in the head.
Forest are imploding and I'm lovin it. A bit.

Really?
I personally (as well as many people I knew) thought that this would be a bit of a 'McLaren' appointment. We needed someone who knew the Championship and lower leagues. O'Neill probably wouldn't have had the current knowledge to do this.
I'm exstatic with the appointment of SC. Over the next couple of years, I'm sure he will work wonders for us, much like Billy did. We definitely didn't need another 'big name', we needed someone who would bring stability and short to medium term success.
If (and i mean IF) we get promoted over the next few years, then SC maybe wouldn't be the right man for us, and MoN would, but for the time being, he's definitely the right appointment.
FTID!
So far so good BCFC. That's all I can say at the mo.
All the best down at Ashton Gate.
Sven, NLN, SM, BD, SC, Mad Dog.
Which of these (ex-)Managers would you like to join you and your mates in the pub to watch the next England match?
I think SC and Mad Dog would fit in fine, BD might be OK but might be anti-England and keep wanting you to buy him a drink. The others would clear the room I reckon
Have some some copying and pasting previous comments from you muppets pre-cotterill, some of ya were throwing hissy fits that would embarrass your women or men (ray, nffc spotty?), I thought we were gonna see a bring back steeeve campaign.
Billy back anyone still?
Have'nt said that I think you've got the right man for the job.
To be fair Igor that is why I think a lot of fans like SC, as he has a lot of traits as a manager as Billy had and seems to know how to get the team to work and organize them just as Billy did as well, it is the old fashioned type of manager that Forest always need!
I'll admit that he wasn't my first choice but even after only a few matches of Schtevie it was so refreshing to see a Forest team that was organised and working for each other and a manager screaming and shouting from the touchline.
Anyone was better than Non League Nige.
Hoons, I'm surprised u don't think O'Neill would have had knowledge of lower leagues. He did manage Wycombe and Leicester with huge success, albeit a while ago, but I'm certain he would have been fine.
Hopefully Cotterill will work wonders and get the most out of the squad because he won't have money to spend.
From the outset he has been positive about what we have at the club. Continual managerial gripes about sub-standard squad must have effected those there. We have quality players, albeit in a thinnish squad (not Reid, before any of you pipe up!).
SC has the right mindset and hopefully will instill that siege mentality that was missing under SM. Dexter back later will be a boost.
Wish Bristol City well for the future.

How depressing Ray. Do you ever have a positive outlook from the outset, or are you naturally a 'glass half empty' kind of guy?

Yawn.
Is that some grass growing?

Looks like both sets of supporters are happy with whom they have as managers now which is just as well. Now we can all get behind our respective teams and watch them climb the table.
