17th looks out of reach to me....

Petrov and Eagles need to stop shooting from distance.

Whats disappointing from my point of view is that our defence looked solid until Boyata went off and Gardner came on. Bibi had an absolute shocker and I think the arguments about him coming in for Robbo can be put firmly to bed.

To be honest from what I saw in the first half (only half I was able to watch) we we not too bad their were some issues some of the passing was poor from NRC especially, the defence looked solid enough and we were having I would say the better of the play by a small margin.

I think the main areas I would look to change right now is a proper RB if Boyata is not fit for the next game even play Riley if we have to as Robbo at RB is to going to cut it with no reliably LB to come in and Would play Mavies for NRC for the simple reason that his passing appears better and if we would have been able to get someone like him on the ball we could have caused lots of problems Also less shooting from 85 miles and perhaps play Tunchay for SKD as I think that could add a little more spark to our attack. The only flaw for those is that they could be too drastic a change all at once so the answer is I do not know and also I did not see the second half only read what you lot have said and other things.

Don't be so reactionary. Yeah that's right, a guy who probably isn't match fit has a shocking 45 minutes and should never play in place of a man who has been consistently crap for over a year. Even though he was outstanding vs. Villa and one of the better performers against Chelsea. Come back and comment tomorrow when you've calmed down.

Nige, all I said was that Gardner was poor (which he was) and that it once he came on and Robbo moved out of position our defence fell apart. Until then our back four had looked solid on the whole. So for now at least the idea of Gardner replacing Robbo should be put to bed.

Bibi still has a role to play in the team, however until he is fully fit he should not be replacing Robbo, particularly as he actually had quite a good game today until moving to right back.

Love him to death, a hero in his time, but he's not really been fully fit for 2-3 years now, and TBH, is now out of his depth in the Prem. We've got to find other options - either from within, or from outside - but the likes of Blake and Gardner wouldn't get into any other team in the Prem .. and nor should they in ours, if we seriously wish to try and stay up this season.
