In my honest opinion Darren Bent is not good enough for you guys, this coming from someone who saw him miss an absolute sitter today

Yet again when something goes against us when we concede yet another very cheap goal, heads go down and the team feel sorry for themselves.

The keeper plays a blinder, we hit the woodwork 3 times and our expensive striker trots off the bench and misses a sitter,

Disappointing is an understatement, this has ruined my saturday night.

United are just more clynical than us, that seems the only major difference.

A Dream is more Pure than an Obsession! (U9988)

Ironic username since he is yet another character no more worthy to this earth than a tapeworm, and like a parasite, sits alone in his dingy bedroom with 3 pc screens, a huge right wrist muscle, and more spots than a dalmatian, obsessed with winding up other people.

Enjoy your LFC obsession mate, the rest of us have real lives.

In January a regualr goalscorer and maybe a centre back(Cahill) could well be crucial if we really want to challenge for that 4th spot.

Darren Bent is a consistent Premier League goalscorer unlike Carroll.......

Why not? Fergie seems to have respect or fear us. That's why he parked the bus last week. If you have an ounce of impartiality you'll admit we outplayed you.

Suarez needs a player who can keep up with him. He is being surrounded by 3 or 4 defenders. Teams have looked at his play and worked out how to play him. We need Plan B at 65mins gone, not at 88mins. Gerrard looked tired, to be expected. Downing and Carroll need extra practice at crossing and finding man and heading or holding up play in the box.

This isn't Liverpool vs United, we just do not compare with United this season, Liverpool fans we have to stop kidding ourselves, them and City are worlds apart from us.

Paisley

We've been here before. We hit the bar, we had most of the game ect ect... But as usual we failed to perform, it's not luck it's lack of quality.

agreed fred basset but we wouldn't have been worlds apart had we kept merieles and Aqualini. We also need to play bellamy in his correct place alongside Suarez and leave that donkey Kuyt on the bench, he really screws our team up, maxi should have played on the left and leave downing on the right as they both could have switched at any time.

It means nothing, many teams last season that hosted United outplayed them, even this year they hardly outclassed West Brom or even dominated Norwich at home.

Doesn't mean those teams were anywhere near as good as United and Liverpool certainly aren't.

Think you're missing my point. All i'm saying is that our general open play has been pretty good and no-one (except Spurs) has outplayed us. Our finishing has been very poor all season and imo this is what United certainly don't struggle with. Until we sort this out we'll be miles away from the top 3.

I think you're right but being honest the only teams that i suspected were in a position to match or outplay Liverpool were Spurs and Everton, the former totally outclassed Liverpool and the latter weren't doing too badly until they were ripped off.

Sir Alex's team sheet took outplaying Liverpool out of the equation and Arsenal were simply there for the taking.

Liverpool have failed too many tests already this season and there are alot of similar or bigger tests to come.

I would say that your team at the moment lacks balance. I look at your team and see players that I would never have imagined playing together, if that makes sense. Mixing high quality players with above average players.

I am NOT obsessed.

I was optimistic about Liverpool hopes of winning the PL this season.

You have the 'right' manager.
You have invested smartly & wisely.
NO European football distraction.
You have the players at your disposal to win the PL.

I could not care less how many FA Cup or mickey mouse cup or CL or european success you have or had - i CARE about Liverpool winning ONE trophy MORE than any other and that is the PREMIER LEAGUE!!! (Why - becos you have NEVER won it!)

It is NOT an obsession - its a DREAM of mine for Liverpool to win the PREMIER LEAGUE!!!

Sadly it is just that, a dream - not a reality!!!

As for Gerrard - he said himself it would be a major regret if he never won a PL medal. How long has he got left in professional football?

Life is too short & he knows he hasnt got long!
