Don't get that, if you want to get an open world shooter in which the moral decisions you make affect the outcome of the game, get Fallout: New Vegas

I liked LA Noire, although it got a tad bit boring in the middle of the game.

And La Noire isnt an open world shooter bro, It's more running after the guy thats commited a crime, and a few shooting scenes.

Really boring and repetitive. Give it a miss m8. Bought it on release and I quickly lost interested. All sizzle no steak.

Got both Noire and fallout and got to say noire is the better game but both are crap.

Anyone got any suggestions for.a good action game to keep me occupied fir a couple of weeks? Stupidly asked my misses for Mw3 and arkham city for my bday but that's not till November.

Mafia 2 perhaps.

Checked out fallout but I'm not so much a first person shooter type of guy, bar cod.

Mafia 2 is a good game but despite appearances its not an open world game. There aren't any side missions to it.

I'm presuming you have/played the big name games Uncharted/Assassins Creed/Infamous etc.
Enslaved is a very good game and you should be able to pick it up relatively cheap.
I also quite like the Yakuza games but f me are there a lot of cut scenes

Ended up going for the saboteur. Set in a similar period but different country.

Looks pretty action packed.

I know despite the fact it's been slated here and everything I have read about it seeming it's not my type of game I'll end up buying la noire just to see if the graphics and such are what they appear to be.

Should sort me out till cod and ac.

LA Noir is pretty good. I liked the motion capture for the speaking and the facial expressions. There's side missions in it, consisting of forty calls over your police radio.

The action scenes and shooting are done very well. You get a good feel for the action.

The main aim of the game though is interrogations and solving crimes.

I must say though, the ending was a bit of a let down for me. I's say buy it if you can get it for £15 to £20.

Mafia2 is decent enough, but not a long game. Worth a punt when it's at a tenner.

I'm playing Arkham city at the moment and it's amazing. I highly recommend it. Well worth the £40.

the saboteur is excellent, in my opinion one of the most under-rated games of the past couple of years.

I enjoyed L.A. Noire. Thought the critical reception was a tad on the excessive side, but I found it to be very good anyway. Team Bondi captured the vibe of the 1940's 'noir' genre really well, feels like you're playing in a movie at times. I'd be careful though, it's kind of a 'marmite' game; you'll either love it or hate it. It depends on your preferences.

Well worth the £40

I got my AC for £30

LA Noire? Average. Great idea but gets seriously repetitive and no replay value

The game I found on the cheap which I weirdly enjoyed was Lego harry potter
