He's spent approximately £30m net since taking over from Hodgson and pushed us from a team hovering around the relegation zone, to a team pushing for the top four.

All in just over one season. Rome wasn't built in a day.

You Sir are a prize plum.

Until we are beaten 6-1 by our city rivals, I don't think we've got anything to worry about. Oh wait...who did that happen to?

posted on 23/10/11

No, the minute you finish outside the top four and Luis Suarez looks to leave. £30m 'net spend' without real improvement.

Why did you put "net spend" in quotation marks? Do you not understand what it means?

Yes, its the amount you have spent minus sales. But I am unsure as to the £30m figure. But even so the signings made cannot take you forward. Neither can Dalglish.

Dalglish has already taken us forward, as evidenced by the first comment in this thread. WUM's just don't have the intelligence like they used to. I think we're starting to see the demise of the WUM's as all the good one's seem to have resigned. R.I.P WUM's.

Not wumming just giving my personal opinion. The current league table suggests no improvement since last season.

I'm no United fan.

What??? do you realise this time last season we were 17th/18th

posted on 23/10/11

You finished 6th. Spent a lot of money and are still 6th. No improvement as yet.

Do you even know what you're talking about OP?

posted on 23/10/11

But you would agree we are playing better so far this season then the frist 9 games last season?? Why dont you mention the team you support ? or they in a worst position than our team? in that way you should worry about your own team getting results dontcha think?..

You have made no clear improvement given money spent as indicated by the league table. You are still a lackluster outfit without a natural goalscorer and defence worthy of the top 4.

It's not even November yet.

But we still look like beating most teams. Just taking our chances. The last two games we were the better teams? YES? now if your capable of answering a question what team do you follow?

posted on 23/10/11

But, you still acknowledge no improvement?
Do you not.
I would expect better if i was a Liverpool fan.

We do. The only performance's that I expected better of this season so far is Sunderland, Stoke and Norwich. I expected a loss to Spurs. In the three games mentioned above we were by far the better team and should've scored 2/3 times in each at least.

posted on 23/10/11

Haha city finished in the top 4 once in there entire history. and now at the top of the league. You do realise WE are well able to hammer you at anfield in a month or so? anyway filter time.

Should have but didn't. That's 2 points from 9. You lack a natural goalscorer that will improve your team. A Hernandez or a Dzeko type.

I agree with you, but that doesn't mean we haven't improved and/or Dalglish should resign.

People on this board seem to forget about the Jan window, too.

Haha. I remember the days of Paul Dickov and Shaun Goater. I'm enjoying our spell of good form. You reckon you'll thrash us do you?
