because he is a squad player at Man City and only good enough for the bench.
why didn't he start though?
because city have eleven million attacking players, and they all have to get gametime or they're going to start putting their parts on.

City's midfield isn't so good that Nasri would be a luxury though, afterall the football expert Mancini made a big deal about wanting to sign Nasri over the summer. is he just an idiot that doesn't know how to build an eloquent squad?
He is a squad player and so will be rotated. Obviously Mancini didn't think he would be good enough and frankly he was right.
I can't understand how Clichy played so well. He seems to be a lot stronger and defensively adept. Maybe our coaches are not as good as our club try to make out.

He got more protection from Silva than he did in the last few years with Arshavin in front of him. Plus at City he's not required to double up as a winger so he's not out of position so often.
Good comment JJG.
Very often, the systems played and/or the cover provided can make defenders look poorer than they are - or than they could be playing a system that suits them better.
It's a bit like when people bash Barça's defence without realising how the system exposes them when the ball gets past their midfield.
Silva has an immense work rate, I can't believe how lazy/unfit Arshavin is in comparison. Needs to really work a lot harder.
However the trio of Arshavin, RVP and Gervinho really worked pretty well. Behind them a hard working trio of Ramsey, Arteta and Song is a good combo I reckon.
Walcott really needs to up his game if he wants to remain a first team starter.
I liked how Gervinho roamed the front line instead of sticking, I really think if our 2 wide front men switch sides throughout the game it would make them much more effective.

That's true. during yesterday games, everytime ManU were getting any close to the opposite side, Silva was standing behing Clichy.
It was a real team perfomance and everything city players was involved.
I keep saying this but most of our players are still good, but just too lazy to do their job proprely.
How many Nasri's does Silva equal?

Yep I said that before. At City, his "weakness" will be exposed less plus he's playing with better players around him, naturally he'l up his game.
Imagine Man City didn't even need De Jong yesterday. That team is crazily good.

after the mount spent, it ought to be!. even the richest of clubs now can't compete financially without a sugar daddy.... it's rapidly becoming a joke.
Man City bench is good enough to make another team that would finish in the top 6. But what it is worrying is that they have not planned to stop spending.
I bet they'll be buying players in January...
"I bet they'll be buying players in January..."
That might be a good thing to be honest. They've already got a job on their hands keeping everyone happy so bringing in more people could lead to a bit more dissatisfaction amongst the ranks.
I doubt it, Mancini seems to have the squad now as he wants it.
I think this team is strong enough and has enough depth to challenge on all fronts as is.
mancini made a mistake signing nasri. im not saying this as a bitter gooner as i still think he's a quality player and better than all our squad (apart from el capitan of course). but why did he sign him? i know you'll say that he needs to rotate etc. but nasri is an attacking mid, a position where silva, sometimes aguero, johnson, yaya toure, tevez can all play. also with his attitude, will he be happy to be a bench player in the next few years? and when will spurs sign him?

I won't bet on that one. They might no make it into the last 16 in the champions league and if they don't, well get ready for a very costly transfer market in January.
There will be more twists and turns this season! More surprises, City look great at the moment, but let us see at the end of the season!
Were we not hyping up Man Utd at the start of the season, look at their recent blip now!

Do they? Not in the CL-League. Hard to qualify for the next round there.
The United / City game was good in one way as it stopped a team from winning most of the prizes but on the other hand it shows that deep pockets can buy success
Sorry to burst your bubble but Nasri has played two games already this week, no manager in the league plays there players 3x in a week unless they have to.
Also, Nasri has played in 6 of the 9 games in the PL this year in which he has 6x more assists than he got in 30+ games for Arsenal last year.
So to answer your question, Nasri is good enough and he is producing more for City than he did for Arsenal.
Clichy has been fantastic, 7m was an absolute steel and he is on form the best LB in the league at the moment.
Just shows what proper coaching and tatical organisation can do for a player in terms of form and performance.

who isn't a squad player at City atm? Only 3 players come in mind.. Hart, Yaya, and Silva are only who start every game. The rest have been rotating like Earth on the Sun.
