Agree, this is worrying on two counts:
1. Why have our owners reacted now? They either don't understand football and will continue to sack manager after manager or is it worse and as you suggest they NEED promotion?
2. Will we get a manager who will want to come? I can't see the owners going for the right type of manager for this division.
On the flip side, they might have a top manager lined up. Who knows.
Madness, absolute madness.
Ooh Brian laws, now I'm getting excited. Maybe we can go a step further down the England line and see what Steve mac is up to at the min. This is madness, I now want to know how this has come about such as after a meeting with top or he just didn't really want it anymore, for me this was not expected
Football is now a business! With so muv
Ch money being thrown into clubs the pressure to succeed is greater! Business is the real world! No room for centerments or personal opinions just results.
I like Sven and what he was doing, I thought it was a wind up when I came in from work! I'm gutted for the man who was a great bloke and respected everyone he evey met. Yet again we treat another manager poorly....

Your owners deserve this decision to backfire on them.
Sven had you heading in the right direction and would have had you in the play offs at least.
Seems to me like they have bet the farm on an auto spot this season, maybe they have unnamed/undeclared backers putting the pressure on.
666 and Elmondy aka Sicknote
I heard that their owners thought the Leeds boards were too miserable so decided to cheer us up, so they sacked him!
Wasn't that nice?
IMO he'll have had a minor row and thrown his toys out of the pram, they've sacked him, he'll get a payoff!
Sven has no interest in the club, he is motivated by money. I reckon he's engineered it.
How much of a payoff do you think he got? His contract was due to end this season.
The owners are in it for the money, the "dangling carrot" of the Premier League riches, just like Mandaric was.
Any business man wants to get from A to B as quickly as possible and make as much money on the way.
Sure, they have helped us out initially. Let's see if they stick around if promotion hasn't been achieved by this or next season. That will tell you if they are with the fans or in it just for the finances.
Sorry Culle you beat me to it.
Firstly, thanks for his efforts at the club. I think that some of the players came here because they were attracted by Sven so, for me, what he has done is given the new manager a squad that is capable of promotion and a very strong nPower Championship squad on paper for them to work with. I think Sven was sacked more because of bad performances than bad results and I do think it was harsh but I hope this isn't going to be the norm from Top where he sacks every manager if we lose one game that we should win. As I say, I think it was more bad performances leading up to that match that then culminated in that defeat rather than a knee-jerk reaction to one loss. At least, I hope it was, otherwise I'm very worried.

I'd be worried, Brian Laws is still free!
i dont buy this "who wants the job" with a nice chunky bonus if they get to the prem and a bigger payoff if they dont. sounds pretty tempting to me
Funnily enough fella (666), I can't stand your club either.
...so there.
