It'll be difficult for everyone on here to move on I guess Jungle. I think this affected everyone on here and I suppose you're a reminder of him too, especially since you are so alike in your opinions and views.

I feel sorry for anyone who got upset/offended by it and Ally running a marathon and the people who met him in real life, but I think it's absolutely hilarious And at least money went to charity which is good.

Also what's the longest losing streak you've gone on in UT? Pretty sure mine is 6 games in the gold cup and D1.

I think what has annoyed people is the lengths he went to. Like turning up to nights out and talking about his "da" and so on. And doing 5 updates in 3 days about his "da's" condition in hospital.

He did an article today trying to explain himself then had his account removed.


Losing streak would probably be something similar to yours. But then my best winning streak was something like 25-30 games.

I am glad the charity did well out of this but again people feel like mugs as they were donating in the memory of Jinky - people who might not have had the money to donate.

He was very creative, but it is a bit disturbing Still don't get why he couldn't just ask for a new account He said 'people would ask questions' if Jinky just stopped posting

Doubt I've ever won 25-30.When I first went from D5 to D1 and won it I think I only lost 1 or 2 games, that's probably my best. I win most games with my silvers too.

The thing is he could have "killed off" Jinky when the BBC ended and started afresh as himself on here and nobody would have been any the wiser. It was attention seeking and quite sad.

The thing is he was only found out by having the bad luck to choose Jersey as being the place his dad had the operation, only because Bubblebhoy's bro in law worked at that hospital. If he had picked a "central London hospital" nobody would have asked any questions.



The 25-30 run was unbelievable. I think I won the gold cup 3 times and two perfect seasons in the 1st division and a couple of other games. Something like that. It was just a really weird run.

And I saw those PSG stats yesterday.

I assume Ochoa will be in TOTW too

He got rumbled. Dunno how I would feel if I'd donated money and met him. Doesn't really affect me as I'd never heard of any of these people before today.

Dunno what happened to me in D1. First time I had a decent Ligue 1 team from the start and I stormed all the way to D1 and won it. Then I think I won D1 with my gold Bundesliga team and I haven't won it since. Weird. Stopped playing UT again now.

I've won Div 1 about 35 times

To be honest though I only play it with my 352 Bundesliga team.

I got relegated the other week and got promoted straight away then won Division 1 without losing a game.

There are a couple of guys on here who really got personally involved with Jungle when his dad "died" to the extent they were phoning him and doing whatever they could to help him (including I suspect offers of financial support). I imagine they are feeling pretty upset right now.

He just built a web of lies and couldn't get out of it. In some ways I feel quite sorry for him. I think the boys who actually met him and sat and spoke to him about his Dad are more annoyed though and understandably so.

He says his uncle and mum died of cancer, I'd really struggle to use that as a cover story for a made-up character.

Yeah. Again lots of the guys have had first hand experience of cancer and that made it a lot worse. I'm sure he could have easily just made out his dad just didn't want to use the site anymore. It's just a really sorry episode.

What happened?

it's a long story....

the short version is that there was a user called Jinky who was apparently in his 60s/70s. One day he got ill and his son came on as a new user (Jungle_bhoy). Eventually after both of them had been on for a while the older user died of cancer.

They were the same person.

Oh right, how did he get away with it?

Dunno. Some people seemed to have suspicions but there wasn't much reason to question someone whose dad had cancer. I feel a bit sad now. I was crying with laughter last night.

being father and son they both had the same IP address but admins overlooked it. Alot of people were suspicious but obviously no proof until Jinky died - he was said to have died in a Jersey hospital. However, a user (Bubblebhoy) has a bro in law who works in that hospital so did a little digging - like me he was suspicious about it but couldn't really say anything. Turns out nobody had died of cancer in that hospital.

At the same time Super Ally was doing a marathon and asked if he could do it in Jinky's name collecting money on his behalf and putting it to a cancer charity. Jungle said yes and a lot of the boys on here made donations (some made 3 figure donations). Bubble told Ally just before the marathon and they got admin to check it out and Jungle admitted it. However, it seemed like Jungle was suffering some kind of mental health issue and was in danger of hurting himself so they didn't "out" him - they sat on the info.

However Ally got annoyed this weekend and decided to just put it out there which is fair enough I guess. Hence meltdown on the Scottish boards today and yesterday.

He was Jinky on the old 606 and he kept this thing up for nearly a year on JA and met some people off the Scottish boards in real life.
