77s are pretty much golds, so you could go straight to golds. I just started, same as you. And I did the same. Just buy a bargain gold in an auction after every other game. And try and get them all from the same league/nation/club for better chemistry.

There isn't really a best formation, just what you prefer playing with. But try and buy players who match up to a similar formation to what you are playing in order to improve chemistry like what CSTP said earlier. If you pick an obscure formation though it might be harder to find players to match that formation. (idk about that tbh, I am just guessing that is the case).

Also CSTP, do the players ratings change with real life form? i.e. like that live seasons thing? And what are the black ones about?

I just sold a gold Bellamy for 550 and I have a gold Kroos and Henry on the list. Hopefully those get me some money. I already have 4 silver players but none play the same formation

Some loser also just bought a bronze manager contract for 200, is it even worth getting a manager?

I will keep the auction thing in mind because I just wasted money on a silver pack just to get some contracts.

Dennis Law - Dunno! I started by getting a good bronze team just so I could play in those bronze cups - to get more money and build my team from there. But as I soon realised....no one plays bronze teams!! So I couldn't find a game! Since Ultimate team has been around for a while, and I am relatively new at it, I just went straight for the golds.

Even in single matches everyone has gold teams, just gotta find the bargains, like my team above I just bought the cheapest gold premier league players. It actually doesn't take that much to get a team going...then you get the manager in who matches your formation and its all good!

premiership and spanish players are the most expensive players on UT- i find a russian team very underrated in my opinion, yes eto'o costs around 50k but the rest are good players and can cost you max 2,5k for the best russian players(bar eto'o)

yeah get a new badge and activate it, it will replace the old one which you can discard or sell
