MON - questions that need answering

I think you've mid the biggest question of all:

Could he work under the owners?

O'Neill is a very strong man and it's his way or he walks. That wa very evident with us, and at Villa where he indeed left after perceived meddling from the owners.

I think he's too strong for our owners who want things like Beckham at the club. O'Neill would never stand for suggestions like that!

I'd have him back like a shot. He's proved at Celtic and Villa that he's still got it. No doubt at all in my mind, if MON is interested, then we should do everything we can to get him back.

And the question of whether he'd get on with the owners, I think they have shown that they are more than prepared to back a 'successful' manager and if MON came in and did well for us, I really don't think he'd have much interfering from the owners to contend with.

Whether he'd come back or not is another thing - but here's an interesting conspiracy thoery, a lad at work went to a Q&A with Robbo and Larry Lloyd on Sunday and one of the questions asked was whether Robbo and MON had another management job lined up. Robbo's answer was 'I can't say too much, but there may be something in the pipeline...'

24 hours later, SGE has gone...

I think Sven really was the perfect man for the job to work with the owners we have, and I'm sure it would have come together by christmas, but yet again we are Leicester City and we have a revolving door which never seems to stop spinning.

My biggest question is what happens if we get MON and then go on a 10 game losing streak - where does that leave us?

I know it's ifs and buts and we could go on and get 10 straight wins but this is a massive massive gamble by the owners which could go horribly wrong. Man City have had money for a good few years now and its took them until this season to really challenge... did they sack Mancini? No.

Can see your owners soon becoming bored/disillusioned and pulling the plug.

If I was MO I would steer well clear of us. Never go back.

The same holds for the club itself. We need an ambitious young, part-proven manager.

Any manager who comes here is going to be under instant and heavy pressure, not many people are going to volunteer for this, even with all that money at their expense.

Merseyside - I don't think there will be any interference into team affairs by the owners. They never did that with Sven and I think they know that they will be interfering in areas that they aren't experts in. The owners are types who will back their man and support him until they feel his time has expired.
