Whatever they do, things are either going to work out good and we do well in the prem or things are going to go horribly wrong, theres going to be no intermediary.

Nev's survey??

Various players have expressed their shock through social media over the last 18 hours or so. Many may well feel uncertain and anxious about the future, others may feel confused and others may even feel rather guilty about it.

We'll see now who Sven's players are. The likes of King, Wellens and Gallagher I wouldn't worry about - They were here before and will be the first to knuckle down and get on with things. Abe will be similar, Konchesky and Peltier will probably continue in their workmanlike ways and people like Danns and Howard may even see an opportunity on the horizon.

The others - we shall see. Hopefully Nugent will continue the way he has, similarly Schlupp. I also hope that Matt Mills takes something of a lead amongst the players as this moment is the time for a genuine captain to shine.

The players I'm most worried about are Sol Bamba (will any other manager let him play with the same freedom?), Jermaine Beckford (that could go either way, although if he gets a good start under a new manager he could be rejuvenated) and Kaspar Schmeichel (Probably more Sven's man than anyone else in the team.

Finally, if I was Darius Vassell... Well, I'd be very worried right now.

Strangely, I don't have a feeling of dread about us appointing a new manager, as I have done in the past.

I don't know why, maybe it's the thought of MON coming back, even though I'm not at all convinced that he will.

Hang on, just had another thought - Bryan Robson.

That's done it.

A few dodgy results here and there until a new manager is found and settles in and it could be your season all over. Can you afford not to be promoted this year?

Leedssdeel, i think you will find that they have someone already line up! the sack Sven on Monday, appoint a man by wednesday and first game on saturday.

I cant see them letting Sven go just on a knee jerk reaction. Its not there style....

Be very very afraid - Schteve McClaren is out there and available - another high profile ex-England manager!

I think with Schteeeeve's insitance on zonal marking, and our central defence of Bamba and Mills, we'd be an absolute shoe-in - for relegation.

I think many of our players have signed because of the Sven factor - You'd have to say Kasper and Michael Johnson being the biggest two.

As Dunge said - Beckford will go one of two ways.

I think fringe players - St Ledger, Danns, Pantsil, Dyer, will all see an opportunity now.

Bamba will be the most worried.

Well hopefully Martin waghorn will come back to us now! Only if we hadn't have sold jack Hobbs!

"Well hopefully Martin waghorn will come back to us now! Only if we hadn't have sold jack Hobbs!" Oh dear, sound like someone expects pearson back.

yep, would like to see Waghorn given a new opportunity - he seemed to enjoy it at Leicester

Dunge - They are football players who play for Leicester City Football Club, not for Sven Goran Eriksson. They all know that if they play well, they'll be in the team and if they don't, they won't. I doubt they will come in and refuse to play for the new man. If Darius Vassell does well in training, there's a good chance he will get picked to play and that is how it should be.

Obviously the new manager will see certain players in training who he thinks are better/worse than they were considered to be by Sven but that is part and parcel when these things happen and they might have to take some of the blame for this but they are payed to play football and I'm sure they will continue to do that.
