I think the same thing would apply to OX too!!!

Good article.

One point i would make. Park is due back in Korea within 2 years for his military service. So affectively, we have only 1 and a half seasons left from him., unless S.Korea win the Olympics (or qualify?)

It is similar to the bedding in of Henry. It's a shame that t Park has only two years (or less) left before his does his national service.

Can they not delay this silly military service!!!! How come the Park at Man U didn't do it?

Something will be done about this. I think the south korean nation will recognise that they have more to get with him being at Arsenal than him doing his national service.
I was due to do mine, but because I was at Uni, never done it.

I wish Chamakh had never settled in. He was much better when he was trying to adapt.

Yeah. And when he wasn't at Arsenal, he was pretty good!

Chamakh hasnt been awful!

For christ sakes! His touch, hold up play, movement in the box its all there!

Hes just not scoring goals! Hes just missing that bit of luck in front of goal

Hes certainly not rubbish.

And hes agood option to have off the bench and seems to create chances from crosses.

Its like when we had chamakh, bendtner, van persie up front every time a cross went in we looked dangerous.

We need that kind of option from the bench.

And i feel sorry for chamakh. RVP will always be number 1 so whats the point of him performing?

Hes never going to be number 1 if he scored a goal he would probably have to wait another 3 or 4 weeks for a another game.

I agree JJG. Chamakh is a confidence player and need minutes on the pitch. With the 4-3-3 formation, he'll never get ahead of RVP, unless RVP is moved out wide.

It's a shame because he does possess that aerial threat we've lacked for many years.

It's upto the lad himself. He can either decide to pull up his socks and perform well when the chance does arrive, or just sulk and be content on the bench.

I really liked Chamakh when he first came over, his work rate was phenomenal he gave us something different up front and he was scoring goals. But his overall performances have dropped off massively recently. And he obviously isn't a natural goalscorer so unless he's playing well he's not going to get goals.

He's a decent option to have but i think Wenger will get rid at season end.

I would love it, LOVE IT, if Park turned out to be our Solkjaer. That substitute impact striker that has that natural killer finish whatever the situation. In a tough match he would be an ideal player to unlock the defence.

He's only played two games so we'll wait and see.

Where are you from?

in jan transfer him, psg wanted him in last window thats why he isnt happy. Wenger didnt want to let him go 9mill bid should be accepted, good profit on a non profilic hitman.

No South Korean, I'm from france but I assume (probably wrongly) that most governement act the same. It didn't make any sense for me to stop my study just to do my national service....

The french have to do national service? How long does it take to learn how to wave a white flag?

Funny enough, just one day. But I'm from the "old" school and for me it would have been 9 months. At the moment, they reduce it to just one day I think but still good enough to "learn to wave a whit flag" and not only to follow and just say Yes the Yankees!!!!

Oh Oh!

To be honest even one day of national service would be enough for me to get a court-martial I reckon.
