Julian would be decent cover for whoever Schteve brings in at LB, I think! Sad to see Rodney go, judging by his chat on twitter he seems like a nice guy, but hey that's football.
Glad we have made concrete offers for Earnie + Moussi. Hopefully they aren't derisory offers! A players loyalty will only go so far, if he's offered more elsewhere.
It's all about risk/ reward, really. The recent talk is Palace are weighing up a bid for Earnshaw. With their current financial situation it's hard to imagine they could match our offer, however for a solvent football club the short term money will be there if they are determined enough. If Forest make responsible offers and other clubs gamble and spend beyond their means, then it's their risk if it doesn't work out.
But if it's a case of premier league clubs going in for either player (Norwich for Earnie, Wigan/ Everton for Moussi for instance) then you have to admit they will probably be off! To be honest I wouldn't be gutted by either scenario but if we did lose those two, it would make the already epic rebuilding job even greater.

Mark Byrne & Niall Rodney have been let go & Julian Bennett will be given another year if he can't find a club to take him (hope so)
