are you better placed to judge him than the court which had 3 days of evidence presented to it from expert witnesses, witnesses of fact, and the individuals involved ?

i dont really know much about the suarez case, but i have read that suarez went after a player making racial comments to try to wind him up to get him sent off. to me, that should be punished and made an example of.

i can see how the terry situation can be distibguihsed from that though. his stance is that ferdinand was the aggressor and tried to get a reaction out of him. in that situation, i would have thought that ferdinand was more similar to suarez than terry was ?

Basically we all know Terry was guilty.

I can see where JPB is coming from though. John Terry likes players' wives, and a lot of players' wives have young kids, so JPB needs to stay in their good books if he wants to get lucky. No offence obviously.

thsat's my view. what would be the alternative argument then ? ie, one which supports a contention that a player should be entitled to abuse another player but that the other player should be punished for responding ? that just strikes me as a total nonsense.

I dont know anything about that. I dont see how it proves that he is guilty in the ferdinand incident, and i dont know how the FA could use it to justify a punishment in relation to the ferdinand incident.

Your initial complaint about this was that terry should be given the same treatment as suarez, but as ive pointed out, ferdinand;'s behaviour appears to have been much more like suarez's than terry's was.
