I like how both games just turn into through ball fests for different reasons. In FIFA players are insanely fast but in PES the actual pass itself is ridiculously powerful.

I don't constantly spam them but there are times when it just has to be done. I skill more than about 99% of the players I meet. But I'm not very good at defending them this year when someone does use skills.

Yeah SKA. The amount of times I get facked over by high line for absolutely no reason is mad. Happened a few days ago, I was 3-1 up and my defence decided to play stupidly high, and he just scored every time then. There was nothing I could do. Need to be more prepared to take the foul, even a red card, to stop that. But it's too difficult to slide from behind. Easier to just spam circle.

Yeah ratings do work differently. You need to be good all round to get a higher rating on PES. I think I prefer FIFA's system although you shouldn't judge players on overall. The only defending stat on PES is 'defence'.

I wish PES brought back that hexagonal graph thing from PS2 days. The grade ratings are pointless. Messi has a B for technique FFS.

This was absolutely infuriating, something compounded by the fact that the 'keeper would come off his line by himself. The ridiculous through balls also were a right pain in the proverbial.

I miss PS1 and PS2, I used to be a proper gamer back then. They made the best games. I only play Fifa these days.

With the graph you could tell how good the player was on the whole as with the overall ratings system but also get a good idea at what areas he was best at in just a couple of seconds.

FIFA 10 every chip went in, FIFA 11 every header went in, FIFA 12 every finesse shot, FIFA 13 a lot of near post shots.

FIFA 09 where you could assign player growth yourself in career mode lol. I'll always remember a goal I scored where Adebayor headed it on to himself.

I don't even know what I play. Professional I think, sometimes find it easy, sometimes hard. I'm a lot better at FIFA.

I beat 1man earlier, Schalke 3-2 Bayern was over the moon (although before that he beat me Liverpool 3-1 Juventus where I had two players sent off )
