Wenger has lost the plot tbh!!
Bidding the lowest price possible for Suarez.... And then slims the squad without replacing a single squad member
Yeah he has 1man. Absolutely nothing positive I can say about him now, even though I love him. I don't want him to leave but what is he currently bringing? Gazidis can fook off too.
They're not exactly amazing but how we could do with Djourou, Miquel, Arshavin, Coquelin now.
Well you have to replace the players that leave IMO!!
I just dont get it... My Gooner mate said that finishing in the top 4 last season was just papering the cracks!
I thought our form towards the end of last season boded well and we would make some signings and be well prepared for the new season, but we just aren't. We've got rid of the 'deadwood', some of which we could do with just to fill up the squad now, and then not even replaced them. Unless we sign at least three quality players I think we'll really struggle to make top 4. Doesn't help that we're unlucky with injuries and the ref was abysmal yesterday but it's of our own making. We should have cover, and the team should be good enough to win against Villa regardless of poor refereeing decisions.
Totally agree!!
Its a similar situation to what we have been in since we challenged for the league al them years ago (2008/2009)
we never signed to kick on and payed the price big time and we are only just starting to recover from that now!
The thing is that if you fall out of the CL for not signing and managing the team properly, then you will struggle even more to get back in cos people will see you as a team on the way out, you won't atrract the players anymore, you will lose revenue and if you arent a spending team anyway... Then hmmmmm!!
I know how it feels
We cry evrytiem
When we narrowly lost the Champions League final, then got to the Carling Cup final with a very young team, then came close to winning the league, then got to the CL semis in successive seasons I never thought it'd get to this stage without anything to show for it. Even the Carling Cup final against Birmingham would've been something.

Its just not replacing the players that have left IMO!!
Fab went, Nasri, Ade (in prime), Toure (in prime), RVP, Pires (prime), Lunberg etc... you never replaced Veria I think either!!
The team's at its worst point now in that there's not much depth, not enough variety in attack and we look like idiots in attack. Nobody dictates play or finds passes as well as Fabregas, even though Rosicky and Cazorla are two of our better players. Giroud is good and I like him but he's such a complete bellénd as he can't control the ball and really slows the play down, and we lack a player like Suarez to add something different as a striker. Players like Theo, Poldi, Ox are quick but aren't very smart and can't pick out passes like when we had Nasri, Hleb, Pires, Ljungberg on the wings and don't move enough. Watching Liverpool yesterday it was brilliant to see all the quick passing around the box, when we're around the box everyone just facking stands still and nothing happens.
We like Capoue poue, we like Capoue poue, we like Capoue poue, WE LIKE CA-POUE
You will lose if you play a decent team like Villa
Totally agree again mate!! Giroud seems to be a real Gem but like you say you need a Suarez sorta player too!
And yeah you have lost your more technical players!!
I think it would be an absoulte disaster if a club like Arsenal goes a decade without winning a trophy
You need a board shake up and a manager replacement ASAP IMO!
Also as you say we lack a big bastad in midfield like Vieira or Gilberto. Diaby doesn't count.
Yep you need a muscle man You could do it could ya??
I'd like to but I'm busy watching Arsenal on the days when Arsenal play
...way back in the 17th century, two farming families in the Enschede area of Holland intermarried. Both the Vennegoor and Hesselink names carried equal social weight, and so – rather than choose between them – they chose to use both. 'Of' in Dutch actually translates to 'or', which would mean that a strict translation of his name would read Jan Vennegoor or Hesselink.
Did you call him Vennegoor or Hesselink?
Big Jan. I met him once. Met all the team then when I went up to play Celtic with my football team. Gravesen and Strachan were the nicest.
