I accidentally sat on a bee today and it stung me in the ass . . . and then when I went to knock it off it stung me on the finger . . . <ouch>

Bees can only sting once. It must have ben a wasp.
Yes, I always thought that, but it definitely looked like a bee. Will never be able to tell though as it flew out the door . . . probably dead now.
The female worker bees of most species -- apart from honey bees, who usually die after one sting -- can sting repeatedly, but they generally do so only as a form of defense if they or their nests appear to be threatened. Male bees, and even the females of some species, can't sting and are harmless.
