Luckily I happen to know that I'm not a middle-aged Scottish bloke, so I reckon our relationship's ok.

I've never been before UTID, so am quite excited to check out the area (and byths I mean his family and friends ).

Well, the middle-aged bloke from Scotland probably desired to be a pretty blonde Russian girl too....

I notice you're very chatty on here Manyoo, but less so on the article you asked me to comment on ... Would you like for me to go and talk about my boyfriend on there so you can say 'funny' stuff?

Come now, the thing with women's football:

1. it's boring.

2. because of 1, it would have been bearable if the girls were pretty. but they're not.

3. because of 1 and 2, it's strange that most blokes who would otherwise fantasise about women fighting with each other and getting hot and wet, don't really enjoy women's footy.

4. because of 1-3, I think I much prefer watching old videos of Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks....scripted as they might be...

I'm sure you'll have a great time. There are great restaurants and bars and the coastline is beautiful. I've not been for a few years, but would love to go back.

I've not got a holiday booked for this year. I'm trying to sell my house and can't really do anything until that happens.

Speaking of holidays, is it a bit concerning that I find myself relating to Karl Pilkington on "An Idiot Abroad" quite a lot?

I actually could see myself making many of the same complaints he does on his travels....

Wrong thread Manyoo.

To be honest, if he lived in the middle of the Gobi Desert we'd have a great time, because we get on so brilliantly. But Galway being a nice place will just add to that.

We went to Barcelona in May for his thirtieth, which was awesome. We were there for the CL final (sorry) and the atmosphere was amazing. Definitely going back there soon!

I'm not so sure you'd have had the same kind of relationship with him if he lived in the Gobi desert, to be honest. But such nuances of reality aside....

Ok then, the Sahara ... whatever.

hello friends

Where else did you go in barca CGG?

posted on 9/7/11

Well, it would still have been different were he living in the Sahara.

For starters, depending on which part of the Sahara he lived in, he might not even be allowed to converse with you. If he were from parts of the Sahara currently experiencing drought, I'm not sure he'd have been celebrating a birthday in Barcelona while the rest of his family....well....suffered.

BUT, such reality aside.....

No one here has ever called me that before.

Hi Digby.

We stayed just off Placa Cataluyna so saw a bit of the old town, did the museum and stadium tour at Camp Nou (amazing, no matter how terrible Barca are in the Cesc saga), saw but didn't go into Sagria Familia (incredible! ) and saw lots from one of those tour bus things ... want to go back and see everything!

Did I just upset you UTID?

I spent a month in Barcalona last summer with some of my family that lives there (los digbys). Been quite a few times now. Camp Nou is pretty incredible, I went up Sagrada familia few years ago my cousins work in an ice cream shop on the road opposite it so i spent quite alot of time there last summer If you go again it's deffinatly worth going to park guell

Woo! I got comment 9559!

Seriously Filterator? It's a tour of their stadium and history, so of course it's going to be all about them, but it was hardly arrogant. The Catalans have a very separate identity and Barca is viewed as a symbol of that - something which they're very proud of. As a Gooner I have plenty of reason to dislike them but I was moved by some parts of the museum, it's quite a special place.

I'd recommend it to anyone.

Ireally want to go to Parc Guell! Gutted that we only had a weekend really, as I could've spent at least a week there. I love the whole siesta culture.

When I win the lottery I'll definitely be buying an apartment in what was the olympic village.

CGG - the filter finger is certainly not pointing at you.

I imagine Real Madrid to be more like that. They'll probably stuff your face with the fact that they've won more European Cups than anyone else...
