I've been working 3 formations this season, and it's working well for me.

1) first 30 mins or till first goal
4-1-3-2 - one holding midfielder, 3 across the middle, set to overload. full backs bombing on, midfield 3 pushing on - try to get an early goal

2) middle of game
4-4-2. basic, with both strikers set as complete forward and wide midfielders pushing on

3) end of game (if ahead)
4-5-1 counter. 5 laid out across the centre of the park. nothing fancy, just hold out for the result.
