Most sticks have a wooden core then are covered in carbon fibre, the more expensive ones have a fibreglass core with carbon fibre and a layer of kevlar

get a gun and moore antique like mine
for a striker, i'd go for something with a bit of flex and a good sized midi head.
depends how you strike, do you hit or slap more, if you mainly hit then you want a stick with very little bend

I hit people called Andy.

i was always taught a striker never hits - he/she redirects, pushes or flicks - but then i was taught a long time ago
I don't hit that often, I'm like the Hernandez of hockey Poacher.
Do you have to tuck your testacles in between your legs while playing hockey?
Andy you have to be neutered to play hockey.
anyone who think hockey is a girly sport has never played it - think football with weapons

Sadly they don't teach this now, they should though as so many can only hit the ball really hard, unless the team you are playing is rubbish you will never have time to pull off a proper hit shot
I can't really hit a hockey ball that well when at all but have a good enough slap to make up for it as i can put it top corner
Deffinatly a light stick with bend then kenty
You have to have your testicles tazered off andy before every game the re attatched with glue
womens hockey is so different to mens hockey it's crazy
but playing a sport where it's quite likely you get to watch a ladies game before is a bonus!!!!
Oh, yeah, i prefer footie to hockey - but i always did love to play hockey too - but somenoe would always end up limping off after one too many cracks around the ankles/shins/knees/head
I actually put a 'keeper in hospital taking a short corner - the dumb broad turned side on instead of taking it in the breast plate and broke 2 ribs
