You seem to have misunderstood what i was saying somewhat. I'm not in the least bit advocating killing off anything - simply saying to leave nature to it's own devices, particularly in areas where up until now we have had very little, if any, impact, such as the polar regions.
If that means polar bears die off because their environment no longer matches what they need, then so be it. That is nature's call to make, not ours.

In their enviroment polar bears are the top of the foodchain, the problem being access to that food whether it be nature or global warming or a combination, not sure even human intervention could help.
Tigers on the other hand are a source of great joy and revvered in their natural habitat and human intervention is a must regarding the decine through say poaching.

what makes you say that i have isunderstood your point ? what is the nature of my misunderstanding ?
well, for a start, i was talking about the polar regions. it was Igor that brought up tigers, i simply responded to his point.
in the polar regions, where man has had very little effect, it is not our place to now suddenly interfere to try to stop polar bears going extinct. Nature should be left to it's own devices.
In areas where we HAVE had a huge effect, we of course need to reverse some of it, or at least stop the process that is destroying their habitats - but that is completely different to what i was talking about.
