Poor from Arsenal if it has happened. I reckon you will find a new guy to step up though, you always do.

Maybe.

Ox, Wilshere, Gibbs, Walcott, Jenkinson. Some great young English players that will no doubt win trophies with Arsenal. Along with other players from the youth like Szczesny, Coquelin, Song etc.

I hope some of that is a joke Andrei?

Big Tuna about?

No. Walcott, Wilshere, Szczesny, Song are already starting players for their countries. Ox, Gibbs, Coquelin will be too, Jenkinson will, if not with England then Finland with Pukki. Spurs have no good youth players. Walker is already hugely overrated, Richards is far better. I have never seen anyone jizzzz over a deflected free-kick so much in my life.

No Arsenal manager has presided over more matches than Arsène, and nor has any enjoyed the same amount of success.

Three League titles, four FA Cups and four Charity/Community Shields have been amassed in his 11 years at the helm, including League and Cup ‘doubles’ in 1998 and 2002.

He is the only Gunners manager to have won the FA Cup more than once and the only manager to take the Club to a Champions League Final, while he was also the first manager in English league history to complete an entire 38-game season unbeaten in 2003/04.

Renowned as a cerebral, studious coach with a rare ability to spot and develop players from around the world, Arsène has had vital input into all areas affecting the first team — from the squad’s diet and training methods to the design of the first-team dressing room at Emirates Stadium.

His calm and measured demeanour is reflected by the style of his teams, which he sends out to play attacking and attractive football.

Arsène holds an economics degree from Strasbourg University and has also been awarded an honorary DSc by the University of Herfordshire. In 2002 he received France’s highest civil honour, the Legion d’Honneur, and was presented with an honorary OBE a year later. He was awarded the Freedom of Islington in 2004 and is fluent in five languages.

On August 14, 2010, Arsène signed a three year extension to his current contract, taking his tenure at the Club to June 2014.

That is horribly biased Andrei, it will be a hard come-down if you truly believe that.

Why? Szczesny and Wilshere will soon be of world class quality, Ox too. Coquelin, Gibbs, Song of a high quality. Walcott dangerous. Jenkinson unsure, but hopefully. We just need to keep/buy quality players like RVP, Koscielny, Sagna to start challenging. Obviously more depth is needed in areas but with a bit of luck (5 pens awarded this season ) and consistency we can challenge if not win.

could inspire some of our players next season, looking at some of the tweets wilshere and the ox had to say about it was great, lets hope it had those affects on all our players and they show it next season

Agree with RVPM other than Drogba. Don't mind him so much, Terry and Cashley are worst. Lamps a bit of a tithead.

Sir Chez will never be truly world class I feel. Just a top keeper who still makes a couple mistakes. Dunno about Wilshere is a bit overrated and an injury setback this bad can change his career drastically (See Ramsey). Ox looks a top prospect. Coq seems good, Gibbs will be good but never great, Song is poor. Walcott is ace. Jenkinson is the worst player I have ever seen play football.

Now how is Walker not a good youth player? Same with Caulker?

posted on 20/5/12

I was gutted RVPM however fair play to them! I really really like Drog and Torres. Lampard deserves a CL final as well. Terry gets the kick in the balls that he didnt win it properly which amuses me.

Are we in trouble because of this? maybe, maybe not.

For me Szczesny will be one of the best keepers in the world, have total confidence in him. Wilshere needs to add shooting to his game but will be world class, as will Ox. Gibbs with a bit of work and improvement could exceed expectations. Song is far from poor although needs to focus more. Jenkinson is not the worst player you have ever seen

Walker is good, but for him to win young player of the season is a complete joke. Not even young right back of the season. A decent player to come through the youth academy I guess but will fade. Caulker I doubt will be Spurs standard, maybe mid-table PL.

Caulker has been in more clean sheets than Arsenal this season and been impressive because of the poor standard of fullbacks the Swans have. I would also say Livermore has impressed. We have lots of good ~23 year olds so could include them. Name a more impressive young RB? I think the award was fairly fitting.

Dont yourself it makes you seem stupid. Song I was maybe being harsh on. I love Gibbs but cant seem him stepping up to the next level, Wilshere will never be world class. Just a level below like Modric I reckon.

Still, I wouldn't want any of the Swansea defenders in Arsenal, imagine how bad our defence would be then. It's just how Swansea play more than anything.

Livermore has not impressed at all for me. I would say overrated but I don't think anyone really rates him that much and rightly so.

Walker has a long way to go to be a very good RB. Micah Richards better RB.

posted on 20/5/12

Why do you dismiss Walker so readily with one hand yet praise Gibbs with the other? When both are similar players probably.

Livermore is a tidy little defensive-minded player. Nothing spectacular and wont win you games. Always gives an average performance with safe passing. 100% PA against utd actually.

Swansea have the second best defensive record at home with w.nk players like Rangel in there back 4 and no realy DM's. A player like Williams would really strengthen Arsenals back line no doubt!

Walker and Gibbs are on a similar level now, but I'd say Walker is the here and now player, a good breakthrough season but being hailed by some as the best RB in the league this season is nonsense in my opinion. Richards has been the best, Zabaleta when he plays has been great, even Sagna, when fit, has been his usual consistent self. Walker seems to me to be all about pace and power, Gibbs I can see developing more as a defender.

Still not sure about Livermore. That makes him sound decent but little more than a good squad player.

Williams would make us worse. Is he better than Koscielny? No way. Vermaelen? I'd say no. Mertesacker? No. We've scored a lot more goals than Swansea, it's partly to do with the style of play. I like Taylor though, would be a decent second choice LB. However, I'm happy with Gibbs first choice and sexy Santos second.

Walker's problem is positionally and still gives away needless fouls. he is great at tackling and last ditch defending so I am happy with him. Your being harsh on Sagna there, despite being poor when come back this season he is easily the PLs best CB, defensively insane.

Thats exactly what Livermore is, just a great person to have there. Player who loves the club so wont cause any fuss and will come in and provide a decent job. Someone the manager loves.

I think Williams is better than Mert and on a similar level defensively as Verm, just doesnt have the talent on the ball. However we seem to disagree with these two.
