absolutely gutted!

Stupid small minded fans. yes there are some risks, but Risks are better than certain medicrity due to FFP

I'm annoyed. Stupid disloyal CPO who are meant to be fans, not looking in the best interests of the club.

if i was Roman i would be pi**ed off. But then again maybe he needs to show his face to get trust.

I bet all the old Chelsea fans on here who have been supporting Chelsea since the 60s and 70s (you know who you are) voted against the stadium move. Oldies never want to leave their spiritual home.

posted on 27/10/11

exactly. no old people move home whent hey have lived in it for 70 years! #selfish

I have supported us for over 30 years and i wanted us to move to a bigger and better stadium.

What a stereotypical view from Gullit and Fernando. obviously dont know any real chelsea fans over the age of 25

No name calling please..but I do think it was a poor decision by the people who have voted no.

The problem is on here and other forums the supporters were not there on a cold jan night back in the late 70's early 80's when only 5,000 would turn up for a game.

without these people at that time we may not have a club to support now, they put their hands into their pockets to safegaurd the future of the club, not to make money.

how many shares do you own can I ask??

We do need to move and most of the no to CPO supporters agree with this, they just want the club tio be more open about plans.

I do agree we should trust the owner and the CPO have been short sighted but fans from the late 80's onwards must understand just how bad it used to be.

we are sterotyping based on the fact that CPO shareholder are likely to be older for obvious reasons, and the result does not reflect the masses.

as usual, they want more money, i thought this was not about profit! stupid disloyal fans caring only for themselves, just one word to all those who voted no.... thanks for saving the club in the past... and for destroying its future

posted on 27/10/11

Yer of course some will be older, but some can also be relatives or assocaites of the Holders due to obvious reasons. But i know plenty of chelsea fans who are older and would welcome the move...aslong as the prices dont go up...inevitable

sairex thats not one word...thats about 12 or 13 :D

Not sure I am that annoyed .... for a Fans Group to have some say in our club is not a bad thing IMHO
Surely the club could have got an agreement in some way that would have given some security plus the chance to move

We can meet FFP rules by :
Increasing commercial revenue - especially abroad
Stop paying over-inflated salaries
Stop paying over-inflated transfer fees
Stop giving players away for free
Start seriously developing our Academy

The club must have prepared for this outcome and it is my opinion that AVB has been brought in to achieve all of the above

So, someone else owns the freehold on your stadium?

What was todays vote about, and who was it that was voting?

Been supporting Chelsea since 95/96. I own no shares.

I understand how bad it used to be in the 80s, thank you for keeping Chelsea alive. Now its the new generation like me who are paying for ticket prices for the next 30 years while most of the old guard cannot afford it.

I appreciate you guys but you have to let it go and move on. Forget about the bad past and think about the recent good times and good times for the future.

Furthermore, CPO reasons for owning the ground was due to developments reasons on the site. This risk no longer exists so why are they still clinging on?

1625 FOOTBALL: Chelsea FC statement on their failure to buy back the freehold of Stamford Bridge: "Chelsea FC is naturally disappointed with the result. While we will remain as ambitious as ever, this decision could slow down our progress."

no Ken Bates had already bought the freehold and it belonged to Chelsea village. The CPO was created to prevent any future owner trying to sell Stamford Bridge, which is sort of what is happening.

I totally agree with you and think the CPO should have voted yes but just want to give an alternative view.

In fact its people like me you should blame, I am a CPO owner but until the issue came up forgot to tell them of my change of address, by the time my voting forms came through it was to late and I could not make a midday meeting due to work commitments.

I think there are more like me and the next vote may be different.

Please forgive me

Chelsea FC chairman Bruce Buck said: 'Obviously we are disappointed but we recognise and we respect totally that the shareholders of Chelsea Pitch Owners have spoken. We will meet with Mr Abramovich and the rest of the board and we will decide what action, if any, we will take going forward.

My question to the panel is - Why do you need 75% to push this through...seems a majority should be enough surely...

Where did this figure arrive from...

dont be so thick, even if he did sell who do you think would pay hundreds of millions for us?

someone with no interest in meeting the FFP rules and will quite happily see us become as poor as you season after season

Sorry - really sorry, but was the above intended to make any sense at all or was it just a random selection of words strung together to make a meaningless sentence?

What do Fulham's junior club and West Ham have in common?

Correct, they are both small clubs thwarted in their hopes to move to new stadia.
