Fair enough, he does go off at a tangent about your league and European prospects, but apart from it being irrelevant to the Chelsea game, it's hard to disagree with.

Arsenal do look vulnerable without van Persie, he does have a history of injuries and historically Arsenal have struggled to juggle the rigours of 4 different competitions, and that was with a better team than you have now.

He may very well be wrong but he does seem to be playing the percentages on this one, and isn't that what punditry is about? Just ask Dave.

Lawrenson is pretty much spot on.
Chelsea are a better team, with better players, playing better football, and are at home, so will more than likely beat Arsenal.
Liverpool are a better team, with better players, a better manager, and although they are playing away, will probably beat West Brom.
Seems like a fair enough prediction to me.
I doubt many of you will be putting any money on a Arsenal, West Brom win double, will you ?

I think arsenal fans are maybe getting a little upset at lawrenson, for something that isnt his fault.
Arsenal have become something of an ordinary team of late, that are not particularly feared by anyone, and having a go at poor lawro isnt going to change that.

Do you not understand izzy. When he starts talking about us he just talks about defensive frailties which haven't come up in the last 5 games and stuff which could happen in the future. He doesn't at all talk about our form, probably the most important subject when heading into a game.
