If butts found guilty, he isnt going anywhere mate...... If asif is not guilty, he still wont play cricket..... The ICC bans still stand and have no connection with this trial and the criteria for both were diffrent...
asif has an appeal with CAS doesn't he?
if he gets off this, then that could stand him in good stead for CAS. he may be back playing cricket sooner than you know it.
on the reported evidence, i can't see how the jury can find asif guilty and can't see how they can let the butty boy off.
asif and majid have already pleaded guilty though i am shocked that they haven't been called to testify one way or the other.
They should be made an example of and sent to prison for a minimum of 6 mths, maximum of 2 years.
Its obvious what they have done, and if that happened at my place of work, id be prosecuted for the maximum sentence of 4 years.
They're getting off light.
If any cricketer thinks again about doing anything like this, it would set a good precedent as this is a serious offence
