If he is too inexperienced according to a lot of the Celtic supporters, then why does this surprise you?
It doesn't surprise me that he's not considered capable of making the step up.
Nor, does it surprise me. Because in my opinion, the English Championship is one of the most difficult leagues in the world. If you are currently in third place in a two horse race, then you will not be able to manage in the Championship, where all the teams are quite equally matched and a lot of the results are unpredictable.
You should write to Lawwell and recommend Billy Davies.
If Billy Davies won the Champions League with Celtic, he would still never be accepted by the supporters.
He is a staunch Rangers man.
He's never is.....Is he???

I don't think the views of those who spout 'celtic-minded' rubbish are worth a jot. Stein, Dalglish and McGrain were 'staunch Rangers men'.
In saying that I wouldn't want Davies...but purely for football reasons! I'd prefer that 'staunch Rangers man' Paul le Guen! Or another European coach as 99% of British coaches are rubbish!
