these questions need answered by craig whyte

he has yet to covince me

this guy let Rangers fans think for weeks that he had cleared the debt when he has infact increased the debt

there are many questions needing answered by murray and whyte

pollocks - there was a statement at the time of the takeover that the debt was transfered to wavetower, and there was an obligation under the terms of the deal to waive said debt.

So whyte wasnt pulling the wool over anybodys eyes.

letting the media pretend he has cleared the debt is not a good thing either

he was happpy to let the daily record pretend he had done that for weeks

why hasn't he told us who he is and what his plans are?

saying that he will pay the debt if he wins the tax xase is unnaceptable

we will most likely lose the tax case despite what whyte and murray have said about being confident

i don't know the exact reason but there is a reason the likes of Walter Smith, john greig,Allistair Johnston and martin Bain were raging whe this guy got control of Rangers

and if David Murray was so confident of winning the tax case he would have left it as part of his company and there would have been no problem in selling Rangers

none of it adds up

"You would think keith jackson and the Daily Record would do a little research before printing yesterdays fable story. As you see from the heralds quotes above, he couldnt even if he had wanted to!
"

like the herald checked theirs perhaps?

funny how certain fans believe only the story that fits their agenda...

are you 100% certain the herald checked theirs?

pollock - as ive said already, the day the takeover was complete, there was a statement released regards transferring the debt. No cloak and dagger stuff.

The tax case is a big problem and it aint whytes fault. Hes just covering himself if it goes wrong. I would be more worried if there WASNT a plan in place for that scenario!

6994 - yeah, i defo trust the herald (and various other papers with same story today ) over the ,ahem, erm daily record hahaha. Who do YOU believe?

I'm not to confident about celtic spending alot of cash but i would be worried if i were a ger there's just so much not being said at the minute it's defining over ibrox way.

elite,

i believe you aint got the whole story regarding whyte, i am firmly in the sacked board members corner....

something does not add up!...only a fool would disagree...

comments from the board members and the management team prior to his takeover told a story...the rangers fans prefer to do their ostrich impressions and pretend the garden is rosy....

posted on 15/6/11

So Elite you as a rangers fan are happy with the way things are going on at your club? you don't feel uneasy about anything????????

i'm affraid everybody else can see it

why has Bain been pushed out?
why do so many fans think rangers debt is clear.
why do mr white and mr Murry think rangers will win the tax case.

there you go for a start

that you bichard?

We may not have the whole story about whyte. We may.

Im going to give him a chance tho. So far, he hasnt done anything bad as such. Should any funny business start, i will be the first to have a go at whyte. Time will tell.

The axed board members had a lot to say about whyte, but they werent offering a solution to Lloyds strangling the life out of rangers. Whyte did. He did a deal while others talked in the press about doing a deal.

A few of these same board members sat by and watched the club go into financial meltdown. Where were their potshots at murray then?

posted on 15/6/11

pollocks - what exactly has whyte did that worries you? I mean things he has actually done. Not press speculation.

A few answers to the questions:

•Yes I am happy with the situation at Rangers, considering where we were last year. I don't think Whyte is the crook everyone thinks he is.

•The board did not want him, as members had their own agenda (Murray and King).

•Bain was sacked for his inept running of the club which includes massive debts, tax evasion and mismanagement.

•Why would Murray want any potential fines from HMRC when he was looking to get shot of the whole club from his problems.

•Why would Whyte not be confident of winning the tax case considering every other club who have fought HMRC have won? The tax man wins very few cases, and when he does they are usually reversed on appeal.

@@

bain was part of the regime that didnt want whyte, so thats most likely why hes been pushed out.

Whyte and murray think they will win the tax case based on legal advice. People qualified in these tax cases.

I dont know any fans that believe the debt is cleared. As i say, was in a statement released at the time of the takeover EXACTLY what was happening with the debt.

Now ive answered your questions, answer mine. I asked whats not being said?

ibrox

havent read the article, but unless their are quotes i dont pay much attention to things. i hate the whole "we believe" or "record sport understands" nonsense.

quotes of proof do it for me.

in my mind, something about the whyte takeover doesnt add up, but time will tell i suppose

for a start he has let people think he cleared the debt

no matter what you say that is what happened

he let every paper pretend that he hasd actually paid millions and Millions of pound in clearing Rangers debt when he has done no such thing

that is a despicable act if you ask me

he should have been out the first day telling people he has paid nothing and that the papers were wrong to claim he had spent 20 odd million

the fact is none of us know the full stroy

sure it looks very dodgy but it's probally somewhere in between

not doomsday but certainly not us sorted and back in a healthy financial position

and saying but he released a document on the day dosen't make it alright

the fact is this guy knowingly let hundreds of thosands of Rangers fans in this country think that he had payed all off this money to clear Rangers debt

do you think that is acceptable?

comment by polloks (U2971)

posted on 15/6/11

and the fact that he had not paid the debt was only revealed to the other shareholders at Rangers 2 weeks ago and not on the day of the takeover

posted on 15/6/11

pollock - it was in a mih statement on the day of the takeover that whyte transferred the debt and was under obligation to wave it. Google it.

posted on 15/6/11

keny - time will tell. Nobody knows. I just think people should give the guy a chance. Im no financial wizard and these takeovers are complicated transactions in general, particularly rangers.

Im going to wait and see what happens. I think others should do the same instead of jumping the gun.

announces that it has sold its
85% controlling shareholding in
The Rangers Football Club P.L.C.
(the "Club" to Wavetower
Limited ("Wavetower", a

Over the last few years, MIH has

an agreement has been reached

available for the infrastructure

a further GBP20m over a four

obligation to waive this debt in
the foreseeable future, thereby
strengthening the Club's balance

MIH is receiving GBP1 for the sale

MIH and its Executive Chairman,
