I want Pearson back just to see the look on Ian Stringer's face the first time he has to interview him I just can't imagine him coming back, all seems to good to be true ala O'Neill.
I really can't see it being Pearson.
Although if it was, never mind the look on Stringer's face - Imagine the look on Hobbs' and Fryatt's faces...
To be fair, skybet are refusing to shorten their odds on Clark at 1/4, guess they've trusted TalkSport inside info before!
Davies odds shortening again quite quickly with a few bookies to around 4-1.
I have a worrying feeling it's going to be someone we didn't even consider like Lippi!
...Apparently Huddersfield Chairman is preparing a press conference to announce that Clark won't be leaving.
I suspect Clark was interviewed, agreed to take the job going back and telling his players he was off - The their Chairman persuaded him to stay with an arm round the shoulder and a few more quid in his pay packet
I really can't see it being Pearson.
I can't see him wanting to come back - having said that, he never wanted to leave in the first place. But, he won't take the owners interferring and telling him who to pick (ABE)
I can't see the owners wanting him back - he's not high profile enough, and he's not experienced promotion from this league, which is not their criterior.
I'm not even sure i'd want him back. The football under him was not great. Yes it was successful, but not exciting to watch.
I'd not moan if he was appointed, as we could do worse, but he's not top of my favourites.
To be honest, does anyone have a 'favourite' (subjectively rather than who is likely, I mean), other than MON???
Cantle, Clark hasn't experienced promotion from this league but is reported as a potential candidate
I'd love old misery guts back, because I love winning more than the style - Its a results game - Sorry
Odds are determined by the amount of bets received not by gossip so I really don't understand all this excitement when people see shortened odds. It doesn't mean anything. If they knew anything then the book would be closed.

He's probably sh*tting himself right now
Foxello, I don't hear Radio Leicester very often (live in London) so please enlighten me. How did Stringer upset Pearson? I know he does not like journalists much and is a bad person to cross.
Longtime;
I don't know the inside story but basically he got Pearson mad with one of his questions about Steve Howard (I think), and to the best of my knowledge, Radio Leicester suspended Strings for about 5 matches where John Sinclair was doing the commentary. When Strings returned they had a bad relationship and Shakespere went on to do most of the interviews with RL and Strings from then on in until they both went to Hull. That was my understanding of the events anyway...
Stringer is bumptious and lightweight, Pearson is grave and instinctively discreet. So it was never going to be a love match. Whether anything specific happened to sour things, I dunno.
Thanks. Stringer comes across as a partisan terraces nutcase of yesteryear. Objective reporting? Not really, so I can now see how he might have upset Pearson.
What a merry go round - bet the bookies are loving it all this money being thrown at so many names
I do really like Strings, but yes he can let his emotions get the better of him sometimes.
Stringer is great entertainment (I can get match commentaries through LCFC on the internet) but I am not left feeling that he is one of the game's great authorities. Strange that Radio Leicester banned him.
I'm not sure where this myth came from that booking odds are based purely on how much money is placed.
I have worked in a bookies and can assure you this isn't the sole factor, although admittedly I'd be gobsmacked if Pearson came back.
Your comment seems to imply this, suggesting that odds are based on bets and the shortening of these don't mean 'anything'.
If I have misconstrued this, and you believe that odds are sometimes based on other factors that may have some substance, I apologise.
Following Stringer's phone call to O'Neill, I've just tweeted him and asked him to ring Pearson...and record it!
Should be good listening!!
