Beram Kayal,in your eyes,is not as good as Steve Davis or Lee McCulloch.
----------------------------------
Not sure anyone's said that but why would that make him worth £10m?

He's obviously better than McCulloch who IMO is useless. Davis is a very good player though and I doubt there's much in it. However I wouldn't pretend for a minute he's worth £10m.

Still desperate to hang around Champions I see.....

I don't think anyone is desperate to see Kayal leave, his contract has been in the papers a lot recently so understandably people have been talking about it.

Why are you so insistent on making up prices and valuations? The Bolton offer is rumoured to be £2million so you are suggesting your board want between £7-£12 million. That's pretty expensive for a guy who like you say has won nothing, it's also a pretty big range.

Obviously you have inside knowledge, so let us know what would make a £7 million bid acceptable and what would need to happen for a £12 million bid to be required?

To be fair he came to Celtic because he wanted to win things.

He won nothing, received no medals and to top it all off seen the Celtic fans accepting 2nd with a party. If he is a born winner surely that would have embarassed him.

More chance of Champions League football with Bolton.

Let me put it this way.

No one is going to bid what we would accept for Kayal, especially as he is currently injured, therefore he will not be going anywhere.

So the Scottish Cup is winning nothing and he didn't win the Israeli league before he came here?

posted on 15/6/11

That's right, in your dreams if you think he's worth anywhere near £10m, he's just another one who's shining in 5h1te.

If your lucky you might get 4m but only because of that inflated English transfer market.

So it was just my imagination when he played in every round building up to the final, including a victory against your lot when you were absolutely pathetic and had 1 shot on goal in the 90th minute?

£4million you say? Okay then we'll just reject it then...

Did he get a medal for the Scottish Cup? Eh Naw

Therefore he never won it.

"We'll just reject it then..." Like you have a say

Overhyped sense of self-importance there Cap Bhoy

Kayal has 3 years left on his deal.He has appointed a new agent. This is the only piece of news. It's hardly a 'Boydy' or a 'Millery'.

------------------

If Charlie Adam is worth £10m then so is Kayal. But granted he's only worth that because he's actually played in England. So imo if the English want to take our best players then they can pay the value of money they pay to each other.

I dont think he will be going anyway, except maybe an offer close to £10m. The board have got the us fans back onside and fully behind the team, without winning the league. They start selling our best players for buttons in comparision to the amount of money washing about down there then they wont have us onside for long. I reckon it would take some crazy bids to get our best players as they are all young and on long term deals.

Look up what Kayal has won on the Internet if you don't believe me.

Fine, so what's your next move? Force him to sign a longer deal? Can't be done.

What if the guy throws his toys out of the pram and says he's injured, not of the right mind etc and stops playing?

Celtic's position is strong as the player has 3 years left on a deal, however if he wants to go he will and once that comes out Celtic's bargaining position will be greatly reduced.

If the Celtic board get offered £4 million, a 400% profit over 1 year, they will be tempted. Especially with no CL football revenue for a third year. Celtic need to balance the books and it was only the sale of McGeady and Boruc who allowed this last season.

Someone needs to go this year.....

Yes you do that's why Broadfoot was greeting in the papers a few years back, when he played in every round and wasn't in the final squad so never got a medal.

No we just double his wages.
