Just a couple of points of order:

1. Nugent is 26
2. A "manger" is something Jesus was laid in after he was born

Admittedly it will be hard to resist playing Beckford against Leeds but, as Emilio points out, he doesn't currently merit a place over Nugent and Howard.

Beckford's signing smacked of desperation. We had missed out on a number of targets and grabbed whatever we could get. I also don't believe for one moment that he wanted to come here, but in the end, had little choice in the matter. We should have showed a little common sense and patience and went with what we already had. (The same applies to the shambles when Pearson was allowed to leave)
