Difficult to disagree too much with yours I think.

I never saw him play live so I can't judge but my Dad would say Bonetti over Cech, as good as Petr is he loved the cat.

Ron harris, as many appearances as he got, could he really be in the team on quality alone? im not old enough to of seen him play, so was he underrated and remembered for all the bad reasons?

Grow up son, its understandable your jealous having an empty trophy cabinet for 7 years but think of all those titles from the 1930's you can wallow in while your waiting.

I started watching Chelsea in 1970 but I was too young to properly appreciate the likes of Cooke, Hudson etc so that is why my team has more recent players.

Ron Harris is a legend he played 795 times for Chelsea and was a permanent fixture in the team. Great captain and a thoroughly uncompromising tackler. Deceptively fast for a little un but a good little un is better than a biggun.

Ron Harris is a Chelsea legend but not for me good enough to make the ultimate Chelsea team of all time.

That's O.K. its your choice. That's what its all about. I saw Ron play so many good games against some of the best players in the world and the lad did good.

Agree with most but it surprises me that Terry is chosen ahead of Carvalho who is pure class. A Rolls Royce among defenders like Maldini, Baresi, in form Ferdinand etc. Terry is great but closer to a Carragher, Couto, Hierro type defender. Physicality and body on the line type. Give me Carvalho's class, brains, coolness and positional reading of play anyway.

MMaax............Agree 100%.....our best ever CB.

What about Bogarde?!!

posted on 4/11/11

oooh i forgot about Bogarde! He's got nothing on Marco Boogers of West Ham,he was a real nutter!

MMax i agree with what you say about carvahlo but You have severely underrated JT there, JT hardly ever mispasses, reads the game eceptionally well, hardly gets beaten in the air, times his tackles. He also has more class then a lot of people give him credit for.
And Whoever mentioned ferdinand up there with baresi etc LOL.
