Plenty of chances including loads of corners, but we need a player who is going to finish on a regular basis. Blackstock to the rescue?
Unlucky not have scored in first half with the chances we had but still in a better position than we were 5 games ago so not too down.
Lots of work still to do though - onwards & upwards
no need to panic. A two break coming up to sort out the defence and the lack of goal scoring, players coming back, the future is (red) rosy..
Pompey £50 @ 13/10...money for old rope...

Nope...a down payment for holibobs...
Chickened out of putting more on though...
Not yet we don't usually do well at Pompey, and don't usually do well away either!
So i'll be glad when we play back at home again as hopefully we should be able to beat Ipswich there and then lets try and focus on getting some results i.e anything but loosing away!
why the hell do you play 5 at the back?
This was always going to happen. Cotterills not up to the job. He was a bad appointment. I'd have said the same thing if we'd won 3-0 today.
At some stage the new manager honeymoon would end and the fact we've appointed the wrong man would show
Very evident that we need to be far more clinical in front of goal. Matched Pompey shot wise and had more corners. Teams are taking their chances, we are often squandering.
Blackstock is returning, as are Miller, McCleary and Anderson. Those alone are reasons to be positive.
sutton, i'm not sure if you're joking or not. I'll laugh anyway, just not sure if it's with you or at you!?
Between now and the end of the year we have eight games, five at home and three away. For most of them we will have a fully fit Ishmael, and maybe one or two more of our long term injured back (Dex?). I'm expecting 14-16 points from those games compared with the 17 we have now from 16 games.
Will Freeman be ready for the squad having played a few competitive games for the Stags, will we have brought in a couple of loanees? I hope so.
After that and into the new year SC will be able to make a proper assessment of his squad and plan for next season. This season is going to have to be a write off I think as we lay the foundations for 2012/13.
A good run in the FA Cup would be nice though.
That's the spirit Sutton.
I'm sorry.
But I think we've dropped a ballcock appointing Cotterill. I hope I'm wrong. But I think we're in for 2/3 years of rubbish football and average at best results.
Half the fans will want him sacked after a few months, the other half will stick up for up him because he's "a nice bloke". Those at want him out will be cast as knuckle draggers, waging a "hate campaign" against him. While he does just enough to stay in a job.
We've seen it all before.

How can u possibly know though Sutton? If he fails u can say I told you so. If he's successful you can say you're glad he proved you wrong. It's way too early to say. I think already he's a better prospect than McClaren. I've definitely got reservations but if fans are giving up on him already then what chance has the poor bloke got at Forest.
Obviously I can't know. Just saying what I think will happen.
I'm not saying we should do anything other than can't behind him and the team, it's still very early. But I thought he was the wrong choice when we were first linked with him. I can't just change my mind and say I think he'll a good job just because we decided to Employ him. Just saying as i see and keeping my opinions consistent
Fair enough. I wasn't excited by the appointment either. But I've been encouraged by the results and improved performances. Whether he's the man to get us promoted who knows. I doubt many Geordie fans thought Pardew was the right boss for them but he's doing a great job. To be honest it takes one hell of a manager to succeed at Forest.
slagging of your new manager already,,,, 18,000 for a home game,,,,SHAME.......no wonder !!!!
The honeymoon is over.
The wedding must of been a civil ceremony.
No it was a naturist wedding in the woods where the bride and groom consumated the marriage behind a tree immediately after the ceremony.
(I have actually been to a wedding where this happened)
