hmm maybe the new assassins creed? or fallout new vegas, borderlands.
Arkham city is a great game easy to follow and pick up, and I bet you can pick up Arkham Asylum dirt cheap
Highly recommend 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution' if you haven't played it already. Gives you the freedom to roam do side missions and choose the way you want to play and its a fps style rpg type of game with a great story. What more could you ask for.
Gotta go with Borderlands, Batman (any of the 2) or Just Cause 2.
I spent way too much time on all these and although it may seem repetative in places Just Cause 2 has a massive map that can easily side track you from going mission to mission.
borderlands is a great game if you like going co-op with mates, splitscreen or online, with a wide range of crazy weaponry.
can't wait for the second iteration
thanks people.....very helpful
I never go online, or play with mates, its purely for entertainment when the wife is out and i have exhaused....*ahem* other avenues.....
i like a game i can get involved in like red dead redemption....... i will seek out the games recommended though.
nice one.
The Fallout games have huge world maps to explore and you really have the sense of being isolated in a barren wasteland while wandering around. You have total freedom to go where you want and are not funnelled down a certain path at all. They will be dirt cheap now as well. (especially 3 which is getting on a bit now)
Skyrim is going to be awesome, I have it on pre-order. Again it will have a massive world that you can explore at your leisure.
They're all made by the same developers so if you like one I would say you'll probably enjoy them all.
cheers Chris.... very useful
No probs LNB.
I'm like yourself as I have no interest in online and I guarantee that with the mentioned games that you'll at least get value for money due to their size.
Agree with Mozee as well, Deus Ex is very good. A mature action game.
As for Arkham City will be getting that next year I think, really enjoyed the first. Got the Batman atmosphere down to a tee.
Fallout New Vegas will keep you entertained for months. Especially if you can only dip in and out and like playing solo games.
Bought it on a whim and now I'd put it up there as one of the best games I've ever played.
interesting.... so food for though.
you will get oblvion cheap just now dude, skyrims the follow on fae that, try it first and see what u think.i think its a fantastic game.
If you havent got i would certainly say get FallOut 3 (wasnt a fan of New Vegas and a few friends said it didnt feel as engrossing as FO3). Depends if you like things a bit quicker can also half suggest Rage, though its more 70% FPS 30% RPG with a little bit of wondering.
Oblivion/Skyrim gets a huge thumbs up as well as the new Batman which is pretty much more of the same but at epic scale.
