Go back 8 games and say if you thought we'd get 22 out of 24 , if you cant then give up and go home

We take it one game at a time bud.

Really?

Would have thought Wigan, Everton and Stoke were very winnable (based on current form) and Newcastle will probably have slipped up by then. 3 of those games are at home, so 12 points just from them games is achievable.
If Spurs want 3rd or 4th then they have to go to places like Anfield and the Emirates and get something, which they are capable of. It is also about time they start getting something v Man Utd, and at home they could well do.

Plus the other top 7 teams have reasonably similar runs of hard games in the same period.

squid Founder of the Happy Club, 8 games ago I didn't think you would be far off 22/24.

I see Spurs really pushing on in the next few months.
They along with Arsenal look like going on a very positive run of results.
Newcastle have been the shock of the season so far, whoever would have foreseen them to mix it up with the big boys 11 games into the season. Well done, but I just can't see them maintaining this level of form.
I expect both the Manchester clubs to be out of sight from the rest come January.
But the race is well and truly on for a 3rd/4th spot finish.
Its between 4 teams. I just see NORTH LONDON taking both those spots come what May.

It's the classic face-saving backtrack comment, that's why

Christ,

With a possible bad winter again, and UEFA fixture pileups possible, we don't even know what the fixture list will look like.

Spurs already have Everton in the backlog, and tis only November.

The only thing that makes me happy is if the last 8 games of the season stay as they are (with no "6 pointers" against any of our normal top 4 rivals) .

God I hate City and their awful fans ......

Money is Money NOT class

How can you get any satisfaction from winning games when you know some rich uncle bought it for you ???

When we win games I have PRIDE in my team just the same as Arsenal and United fans .....How can you have that same feeling

Added to the fact in our run-in looks fairly ordinary it also means we're playing our harder games earlier in the season. ie: we're more likely to have Ledley in the team, and generally be stronger as a unit

"When we win games I have PRIDE in my team just the same as Arsenal and United fans .....How can you have that same feeling"

I see what you're saying, but as fans we support our clubs no-matter what and have little or no say in the business side. For me, the concern over "sugar daddies" is the effect on the competition as a whole - where's the excitement in knowing which clubs will be in the top 3 come May?

I have to admit I'd love to see Mourinho managing Ronaldo & Messi at Spurs, but would it make the PL more exciting to watch?

And we've got 28 games left

away.......13

home.......15

so that's good

Bales :

Would like that Everton game off the backlog ASAP, if only to try and have an ACTUAL 6 pt lead now over the G00ns and the Poooool.

Wonder if there would be argument for playing it during the England friendlies (depending on the call-ups for each side) ...

posted on 6/11/11

Bales yes fair points but it the attitude toward other fans I cant stand .....It's as if they actually had something to gloat about take this article for example

TBH I'm a little worried about other clubs trying to keep up and I'm sure we will see somebody going out of business or do a Leeds trying to chase the impossible dream

Definitely agree with getting the Everton game out of the way - points on the board are what count for sure

I guess with uncertainty over Europa league games in the future they can't guarantee a mid-week spot for it.

The only problem with the "England friendly" idea is that we'd lose several players while they be full-strength

posted on 6/11/11

We could play the Everton game in the same week as the League cup quarters or if that's too soon then the semi

posted on 6/11/11

Aren't both clubs out of the Carling Cup? If so you have the perfect date to play the game this month.

Yeah mate, there's always going to be a few numptys.. especially on an internet forum

I work with a City fan and to be honest he's been pretty humble about the whole thing - you can't deny the decent fans the chance to enjoy the good times. If anything it's just nice to see United getting spanked for once

Squid, you bar steward, you beat me to it and now my comment is pointless!

I say we re-schedule the Everton game for one of the Carling Cup stages
