Calderwood quite simply is a crap manager. Tactically woeful and has zero motivational skills, when he talks ye can barely understand him with his dreary droning voice. Carrying cones and handing out the bibs as no 2 is irrelevant, Chris Hughton is proving a success at Birmingham and was the brains behind Newcastle's resurgence nothing to do with Calderwood, like another useless predecessor Davide Pratt there both destined to be no 2's at best.
Interesting to see poor old CC has been ditched from yet another management role
_____________
He should have done a better job then. I saw the stats and they were awful.
I don't think he'd have made any difference to SMs time at the club. At least in terms of what happened on the pitch. Maybe in terms of the relationship between SM and ND though. CC was a bit of yes man wouldn't surprise me if he was still on decent terms.
Len so are u a fan of CC or not, I can't quite work it out!
I think it was a complete joke we were even interested in getting him back, he was sacked for a reason, yet another reason why SM was never the man for Forest, CC wouldn't a squat of difference!
Just incase people wanted to remind me BD was sacked and I wanted him back, that sacking was unjustified IMO!
Now, I'm not a Calderwood hater like most appear to be but don't really miss him. The strangest thing about our link to him, regardless of how he left, was that we even considered paying for him despite it being obvious that he was on borrowed time. Knowing our ludicrous dealings I wouldn't have been surprised to see us sign him, pay Hibs then pay him off again when we got rid of McClaren!
I am glad we didn't bring him in as assistant manager because I wouldn't put it past ND to promote that tossah to the full-time manager post...
