I think Spurs are very difficult to beat at home (last season, and so far, a "fortress WHL" feeling has been building) .
The away games are where "interesting times" are to been seen/had for Spurs watchers.
Is this the same Dawn that predicted Chelsea would finish outside the top 4 last season?
Dawn, you always make easy predictions and then think youre some mystic meg
Anyone with sense would look at the run of games we have, apart from the city and Man U games and know that we would more than likely bag a lot of points, especially with the team we have
Just saying it as it is
I have always maintained that Spurs are a top 4 side if King plays, I've never seen a centre half as good as him, not since the 90s anyway where you'd have to go back to Maldini (prime), Baresi and Sacchi's Milan.
Suarez aside, Liverpool don't have a quality player like:
VDV, Modric, Parker, Bale, Adebayor (Spurs)
Gervinho, RVP, Song, Wilshere (Arsenal)
Mata, Torres, Sturridge, Meireles, Ramires (Chelsea)
Nani, Young, Valencia, Rooney, Berbatov (United)
Don't even get me started on City. Point is, Liverpool are a long way off these teams.
Nobody in the top 5 would have wanted their club to sign Downing, Henderson or Adam for any money let alone what they paid.
In fact go and ask Newcastle if they'd of wanted them, because I'm sure they're happy with their superior players
Seriously though Liverpool could have done a lot worse than sign Barton (for free) instead of paying £9m for Adam. They should have kept Meireles, gone in for N'Zogbia as well and signed another top quality striker and they'd have been right up there for top 4
Is this the same Dawn that predicted Chelsea would finish outside the top 4 last season?
===========================================
Dawn also predicted us to be in a relegation battle soon
Aparently goals against the run of play don't count [Arsenal logic]
Good saves, good defending, greater clearances off the line do not count...its just luck.
We were lucky that on another day the ref may have given a penalty when Walker fell on the ball. The rest was down to hard work and each player performing their tasks
Looking at that run of fixtures, even though I'm not a Spurs fan, taking each game in turn on its own merits it's hard not to see a shed load of points coming your way.
If you do get 28 points, that would give you 50 points after 20 games. That would match the best points total of any club after 20 games in the last 5 years (United had 50 points at that stage in 2006/07).
West Brom will be tough and I can't remember the last time we won away on Boxing Day, where we always look like we've had one too many helpings of the ol brussels sprouts the day before
With Chelsea now on the 22nd I need some kind of Likely Lads scenario where I avoid the score til I get in as its Mrs Butters birthday.
Either way future looks bright - Harry will be back for Villa too.. COYS!
Averaging 2 pts a game is a good target (effectively win at home, don't lose away) .
Even Arry now understand this (as he has mentioned in the 2 pts thang in recent Cornetto moments) .
Bet Arry is at home wracked by Cornetto cravings today ...
G.Butters New Left Peg (U9026)
You can't remember less than 12 months back?
Scrap that - Norwich is on the 27th not Boxing Day - 3 points in the bag!
Liverpool IMO are no better than Newcastle in terms of overall quality.
yea sorry i was busy at work..
chelsea are no great shakes at all........they say liverpool fans are a deluded lot....we may be.....but chelsea havent showed me much all season.........
and by the way bubbles....
we are 3 points behind you...............just 3 ........with you to play next .....
all the money you spent aswell...and your only 3 points ahead of the very average liverpool team you have commented 5,000,000 times over the past couple of months
It's the same Dawn that predicted that Chelsea would drop out of the top 4 twice last season and they did and the same who said that they'd go on a poor run of form after a defeat. That came at QPR and they have been poor since. I see you don't show any courage Lobsters and think very far ahead with your thoughts. Doovde does and so do I.
If Harry is back for Villa then I feel a lot happier.
.but chelsea havent showed me much all season.........

We showed you how to beat Norwich and Swansea at home
liverpoolred (U10190)
We've had a poor start and lost 3 games from our first 10 (probably the worst start we've had since 99/00) and you still aren't even above us

whereas we havent been firing goals ..and are only three points behind you........the so called "nailed on third team"
Bubbles, was this the Norwich who were level with you and then conceded a penalty and then a 101st minute goal? Yes very impressive of you.
Game in hand
Against Everton
Will certainly do you have a favour (they hate Spurs)

Newcastle are 3 points ahead of us.
The table means nothing till the Christmas Period is over and done with (as far as the top 5 are concerned anyway).
Got_Better and co were declaring you Champions elect after 5 games in, saying you had played your best football etc which IMO you already have and the wheels have fallen off.
Top teams like Chelsea will always peak when it matters most.
At one stage we were 5th with all the teams above us at least 3 points away from us, but we peaked when it matter most. From around Late February - End of April.
The cream always rises to the top
Arsenal and Spurs will fight for 4th. Newcastle will get 6th and you should just about get 7th ahead of Villa.
The quality just isn't there, you don't have the firepower
Sign in if you want to comment
Next 10 games...
