Gutted I can't go to this one as I have been to the other 3 but if I go without works permission again I think I will get sacked when I get back.
Have a good time mate, i went to Porto in 2004 for the Euro's nice place and was a lot cheaper than the Algarve where we were staying and Lisbon!
Plane from Heathrow tuesday 3pm train from Porto into Braga should arrive at hotel around 8ish
Nice little hotel right outside the train station
Plane back to Heathrow on the Thursday morning
Happy days KRO
Oh and our plane goes via Madrid
BZ, how much did the flights cost to go via Madrid if you dont mind me asking??.
We are flying from Bristol as we live in Gloucester and its only 30mins down the M5 and first flight to Barca was only ten quid. the rest of the cost was from the other three flights.
During the stop over in Barca (aprox 6 hours) we are hoping to have time to visit the Nou camp, eat tapas and drink san miguel..... why not eh, as the saying goes "when in Rome".. KRO
Sharky what airport are you flying into for Barcelona mate?
When most fly to Barca they fly to one of the airports which is just outside and it will take you ages to get into the centre of Barca itself. You can get a taxi but it will cost you a fortune. There are trains and buses that take you there but they take a while.
Just check before you go mate as you may be best just drinking San Miguel in the airport!
@bcfc83
Good point mate as none of us have ever been to barca before. We fly to the main airport (BCN El Prat) same airport for flight to Porto later that day.
Will have to check out its location in relation to the Nou Camp.
Could be a heavy day on the San mig if we stay still.
Just checked my map for you mat, its about 16km. Should cost you about 25 Euro's, so if there are a few of you not to bad and it should only take about 30 mins to get, allowing for traffic!
Thanks foor the advice.
Yep that looks a good option. we actually have 7 hours between flights and it could get a bit mad if we just sit at the bar for 6+ hours.
Will have all day doing that in Braga on the wednesday.
Bring it on. KRO
Like I said previous I can't go and I am gutted as I have been to the last 3. I have just adviced my friend to book the same flights as you as that is really cheap. if I could get the time off work I would book that now.
Barcelona is a great city but watch the pickpockets by the ground, my friend had £300 robbed last year while taking photo's and what not outside the ground.
Hope you have a good time and try not to get too drubk before the game!
flight cost £120 but with taxes and travel insurance, come to £163
Only in Madrid airport for a hour.
Train form Porto to Braga takes 55mins and only costs 5 euros, you can get from the airport
El Prat de Llobregat is the main airport in Barcelona. The ones that Ryanair and Easyjet tend to use are Reus airport in the South,or Girona in the North, both about an hour and a half out of Barcelona by taxi!
You won't be drinking much San Miguel in Barca as the local beer is Estrella Damm,or try its big brother,Voll Damm.
Just don't have to many Voll Damms if you're planning to get on a plane afterwards!
The Nou Camp is in Les Corts, just hop in an airport taxi and they'll take you there, depending on traffic probably 30-40 mins.
@blueinbarca
We have double checked and we fly into and out of BCN El prat de Llobregat Terminal 2.
So we may get to the nou camp. will keep my eyes open for the Voll Damm.
Thanks for the advice. Any help is welcome. Also never been to Porto or Braga before. KRO
BZ
Are you going from Airport to Porto then train to Braga?
We arriving late evening so may have to spend a few euros on a taxi direct to Braga if the trains have stopped running.
No Idea how we getting back to airport but to be honest that can wait til after the game. KRO
No train direct from airport

Train timetable, just type in destinations as you would over here
that should read No,,,, the train is direct from airport
We think that as we arrive in Porto late evening after the last train we will stay in Porto Tuesday night then get train to braga on Wednesday morning.
One of the lads does dot have a season ticket and we were wondering if the tickets at any point in Brugge were double checked against name on ticket with passport or id
Braga in Spanish means knickers , so the result could be a draw .kro.
Sharky,
My ticket wasn't checked and the 20 or so people I was out there with never had there ticket checked either, so you should be ok.
Thanks BCFC83 will pass on the info. will use a season ticket holders ref to get him a ticket.
Aint got a clue how many we will get as its a weird ground. It only has two stands that run the length of the pitch, nothing behind either goal. it holds same as St Andrews but average attendance is only about 14k. Lets hope we get a whole upper or lower tier. KRO
I reckon they will give us about 200, which will be plenty.
I went there in euro 2004 and it is a weird ground and quiet a few balls get lost behind the goals.
i heard they had given us 1400
I was meant to say 2000 not 200 but 1400 sounds about right.
We only had 900 for Maribor and they went to genral sale.
I spoke to the ticket office earlier and they were unsure when they would go on sale or how many we may get. I see that Braga are already selling tickets. And also the home game against Maribor are now on sale. If we only get 1400 its gonna be a fairly empty ground as they dont pull that many in themselves.
flying from stansted to porto on tuesday, staying in porto for a few days, fly back from lisbon saturday night.
all for under £100 including accomodation
