I hope the quality of his team is at the same intellectual level as his comments, pretty poor really.

If the trip to Oakwell was our cup-final our trophy cabinate would be full-to-busting

He must have used an interpreter to write it out for him as whenever ive been to Barnsley they dont speak much english.
A simple greeting to us is "hello how are you" to a dingle its
" na then c**k azz tha goooin"
I rest my case not worth rising to the bait they wont understrand it anyway

Dear Sir

Thank you for your helpful comments; I'm sure most of us will find them extremely useful. As a thank you for your kind words, I have taken the liberty of correcting your grammar (I hear you are still at school so it may not be too late, even for a Barnsley type, to learn the following simple rules), please see below:

'How many tickets have you nicked......sorry sold for your upcoming cup final at Oakwell?'

In English: How many tickets have you nicked, sorry, sold for your upcoming cup final (sic) at Oakwell?
- There is really no need for the rather over enthusiastic ellipsis there, old boy.

'From our point of view...a statement has been put out warning residents not to answer the door or buy lucky pegs / heather on the 19th. Also please note...we don't want our drives tarmacing and we DO NOT have any scrap metal going spare.'

- Again, your incorrect use of ellipsis here is troubling. The above paragraph in Standard English would read:

From our point of view, a statement has been put out warning residents not to answer the door or buy lucky pegs / heather on the 19th. Also please note- we don't want our drives tarmacing and we DO NOT have any scrap metal going spare.

- Although why you start of with the words 'from our point of view' I have no idea; it makes no sense and is therefore utterly redundant. Is this, perhaps, Barnsley speak?

'On a more positive note, steel shutter sales have risen in the last few weeks in anticipation of the impending arrival of many travelling types!'

- Excellent use of comma and exclamation mark, well done!

'have a great day out and make the most of it.'

- Oh dear, you seemed to have missed a capital 'H' from the front of that sentence. Just as I thought you were showing signs of improvement, too.

'hope this helps'

- Ah, there we go again- that should be an 'H' not a lower case 'h'.

I hope this helps you dear boy. Perhaps next week we could do basic numeracy? We could start by counting how many people found your article funny.

Regards
Otter

To be fair to the feller I think he was trying to be funny.

I like to hear good banter so come on all you Barnsleyites you can do better than that.

I have a feeling you will be needing the lucky heather!

Hound ..... Of course Leeds doesnt have any rough areas does it?

Why of course not ..... Leeds is Yorkshire's oasis of civilisation, surrounded by a wilderness of savages and pikeys ......

By the way .... away from wumming ..... utter respect for Mr Sharp ..... never had chance to type it before now ....

Touche matey.
Billy has had a tough time.
Having suffered in similar circumstances myself many years ago i found that going to work kept my mind occupied instead of mooching about feeling sorry for myself.
Billy is obviously doing the same and he will come through it.
However, if you are posting the respect note in the hope of him reading it and deciding to sign for Leeds then i have noted your insincerity.
