Could have done much worse than Venky's

Not a dodged bullet but sound research done by the club about Syed before handing the club over.

Time will tell if enough research was done on our present owners.

Certainly, Venky's would have been taken through the same due diligence and came out clean.

it shows whinging fans that the grass isn't always greener.

i'd much rather be blackburn rovers than racing santander right now

So we should be happy because our owners aren't the worst on the planet? They're still not far off!

I've said before all the Trust were interested in, and to be fair all they could accurately judge, is the financial stability of whoever was taking us over. Unfortunately they couldn't vet companies for an insane, reckless and completely uneducated view of football. And considering Racing are still 1 place and 3 points better off than us I'd say Venkys are even worse than Syed on that score so far.

Not far off?!

Of course the only difference is that under our owners we stayed in the premier league and balance the books so there isnt a danger of administration.

But yeah, apart from that we are doomed.

Right so because they narrowly managed to relegate a previously top half club in their first season, thats to be applauded as keeping us in the league? As for balancing the books, Venkys have made about £5m in net player transfers from Rovers so far. Maybe not as much as the Trust made in their last year but if it continues there's only one way this club is going.

I'm not sure if I'd rather we hadn't gone into administration when the Trust sold us. The administrators would have denied us any funds but kept Sam in charge and Williams as chairman. A situation 100 times better than Venkys meagre funds and the total destruction of our management structure. We have absolutely shocking owners, but keep your head in the sand if it makes you feel better.

They spent the thick end of 25m in transfers across January and this summer, more than we've spent in around 8 seasons and still you complain...!

*awaits posts of net spend*

Jones, wanted to leave.

Kalinic, rubbish, brilliant business getting our money back.

All money in went back on transfers, not to pay debts and go into the pockets of Trustees.

Also note that one of the transfers that caused yet more hatred since January, Rochina, is currently our top scorer.

McT, net is the only way of judging it regardless of whether players wanted to leave, come on now, don't be bloody silly.

Wow, it's a bit like applauding Hussain for not being Hitler. We could've got worse granted, but think of all the morons wanting the Walker Trust out followed by Sam.

Not a single person dare suggest we're better off now than 12 months ago!

Not really. We got the going rate (perhaps less) for young strikers playing and scoring for their country. Those flapping stating we would never get or recoup what
we paid were the ones that were mistaken all along as subsequently proved.

agreed, sam is a good manager.

BUT time will tell whether it made sense to get rid of him. if we finish in the top 8 or top 10 this season then you will have an answer.

so maybe it is a bit premature to start talking about 'morons' who wanted him out.

P.S. I find it really sad that 'supporters' on here to vote 1 star on articles (often well thought out articles) that remotely show any support for the current regime at the club!!!

We think we are OK with the term bloody being used. Surely that is mild enough not to be offensive?

Couldn't have put it better myself. Possibly the best thing I've read on the Blackburn board since JA606 began.

OK, but keep an eye on his comments because many of them are very offensive

You do know what "ffs" in your last article stands for?....don't answer..

posted on 9/11/11

that depends entirely on your interpretation

Wow, wow just wow!

You've admitted to skulking around in the shadows for some time, posted ridiculous articles telling people to 'shut up' and including acronyms of swear words... Then complain to admin about the use of the word 'bloody'.

Wow!

Also:

"BUT time will tell whether it made sense to get rid of him. if we finish in the top 8 or top 10 this season then you will have an answer."

Are we aiming for top 8? Wow!

"P.S. I find it really sad that 'supporters' on here to vote 1 star on articles (often well thought out articles) that remotely show any support for the current regime at the club!!!"

Wow, just so you're aware (and you know this Maccy) there have been 1 star bandits on these boards forever. If you wrote a 'Kean In' followed by 'Kean Out' article you'd see both got one star inside a couple of minutes.

Not sure who thinks its a decent use of their time to do this but don't put it down to BRFC fans, lovers or haters...

Good lad, the more the merrier!

You'll find on the whole that we're a decent bunch, opinionated, rude, abusive, wander off topic and also soon not so good features...
